So lucky that Wes Anderson got to work with Twitter’s most critically acclaimed Indiana Jones shitposter. Always follow your dreams Wes 🙏🏻
💀💀💀💀💀💀
Ok I am outing myself as ignorant, but what is this in reference to? The interviewer talks shit about Wes Anderson on Twitter?
@@gregoryandrus5322 He's probably talking about Jared.
???????
someone please explain this lmfao
I was accidentally on the set of this movie every day the summer it was filmed. I lived next to the church 😂 it was the closest I’ve ever gotten to greatness. Still love this movie.
THATS COOL BUT NO ONE ASKED 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😎😎😎😎🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣
must be a cool memory!^^
love that for you
Fun fact: You can find these two together in the movie Paterson (4 years after Moonrise) as a couple on the bus Paterson drives. I like to imagine they're playing the same characters again but as teenagers.
we know
@@SK-nx1qe I didn't
Focus features should be very honored that one of film twitters strongest posters took time out of his day to do this interview
lmaooooooo
Man this Jared Gilman kid sure is great, he should be in more things
Agreed! He was a cutie as well
I wish Jared Gilman appeared in more mainstream films. He and Kara are so talented.
Love Mac, RIP🕊️
I’m very disappointed they didn’t cover their reunion on the bus in the film Paterson.
Seeing them all grown up makes me emotional. This has been my favorite Wes Anderson film for many years now (it unseated The Royal Tenenbaums which is no2 tied for second with The Grand Budapest Hotel and The French Dispatch). I'm a huge WA fan and this movie means a lot to me.
what a crybaby
So you like a film with blatant child exploitation? What a sicko. You should be in prison.
I agree! This one just speaks to me. Fantastic Mr. Fox is my 2nd. We need to ignore the haters on here. Apparently they have nothing better to do.

Cara’s voice is so beautiful 🤩. I love her voice in Moonrise Kingdom and after 11 years she still sounds amazing!
"Moonrise Kingdom" took me by surprise when I first saw it when I was 16 years old. Kudos to the two young lead stars did an outstanding job on working with the all-star cast who play as concerned and frantic adults in the film.✨️💯
Great interview! I like to think their scene together on the bus in Paterson is a spiritual sequel to their characters from Moonrise Kingdom
Whaat they’re in Paterson? Gotta find that scene.
I was a little disappointed that wasn’t brought up during the interview.
Well it would have killed the reunion vibe.
I was thinking this exactly!
we love jared gilman don't we folks
I absolutely love this! Moonrise Kingdom is one of my favorite movies! Loved to see Kara and Jared! Hope Wes works with them again in the future.
Kara had a small part in Isle of Dogs, but idk what Jared's up to
@@senoj.rednaxela yes, i know that. What about a movie telling the lives of Suzy & Sam? It would be cool!
@@denisefreitas6727 That's a fantastic idea!
I know Wes isn’t a fan of war movies but Imagine a movie set in 1976 (11 years after moonrise kingdom) where Sam (Jared gillman) and Suzy (Kara hayward) reunited after Sam was drafted for Vietnam war i mean he was a scout so it would be great
even if its not a Wes anderson movie
But again this would be almost impossible so just imagine but i think it would be great!
So, one of your favorite movies has vile, disgusting child exploitation in it? You should be ashamed.
Im here because of the tweet
Same
Same..also he looks.kinda nervous here. Not like his twt persona
im here from the tweet about this comment

What happens on twitter?
That guy is a legend in the Film Twitter shitposting community
Finally saw this movie in the build up to Asteroid City.
I watched this movie back in 2012 on my flight home from London, England. This movie was definitely a highlight of my trip and I'm glad to see it's still holding up well.
This was one of my favorite Wes Anderson, can’t believe it’s been 11 years already
How on earth can you like a film that blatantly exploits children in it? Disgusting.
@@BigAlvideos101bro what how ?
Terrific film and as mentioned by many here it was fun when they both appeared in Paterson. I remember watching Manchester by the Sea back in early 2017 and seeing the end credits and thinking 'wait, that was Suzy from Moonrise Kingdom?' and then a few years ago re-watching Moonrise Kingdom and seeing the opening credits and thinking 'wait, Lucas Hedges is in this?'
I have a soft spot for this movie ever since I first saw it on cable. It still is enjoyable.
Wow, I love this so much! Moonrise Kingdom is and always will be a forever favorite movie of mine. Such a wonderful movie experience. So uniquely and awesomely produced. And these two characters were utterly captivating and brilliant. ❤️
The reunion we always wanted and always deserved
i watch this movie every summer since i first watched it several years ago. whoever came up with this idea, well done.
Yeah- whoever was sick enough in the head to come up with an idea for a film that blatantly exploits children in it and is pretty much child p*rn must be a genius indeed. They should be in f*cking PRISON.
Bro Jared’s response to the first kiss was so genuine!!!
I have no idea why this reunion happened but I’m happy it did
Jared Gilman said this was technically a ten year reunion but it held off for a year to likely coincide with the release of Asteroid City.
Aw she kept the kitten 😭💕
still my favorite Wes Anderson film it really touched my soul. Ive really got to love Anderson more and more over the years after rewatching all his films on criterion and reading all about his influences in a book about Grand Budapest Hotel. I pretty much worship the ground he walks on and i can't wait to see his new film
Really? Liking a film that has blatant CHILD EXPLOITATION in it? You sicken me.
This was wonderful to watch. I wish them both so much success and hope they are in more films. Their scene in Paterson was excellent, and Kara stole the show in Drunk Bus.
I'm shocked at how young they still look after 11 years.
yea but they're still young though like 23
Jared and Kara omg 😭 They're all loooks stunning
I love them both sm I hope to see them both in a Wes Anderson movie again
Still my favorite wes anderson film
I'm really looking forward to seeing more movies from both of these actors. They had tremendous screen presence in moonrise Kingdom, and they still have it in crazy amounts.
Classic movie, probably my favorite Wes Anderson movie!👍
Absolutely amazing movie that I still own on DVD
Came to watch after Jared’s tweet ,that guys going places
I saw this in theaters, and it didn't feel like it's been 11 years since then, but it does now. Thanks for that.
When you pair an extrovert with an introvert. Fun interview!
How bloody wonderful - I never thought to find out what these guys were up to - their performances lit up that film. Good on ‘em.
My favorite Wes Anderson movie.
Seriously? Liking a film that has vile, despicable child exploitation in it? You should be ashamed and appalled!
@@BigAlvideos101 LOL.....sorry, thought you were serious for a second.
@@sanddab I am serious. This is no laughing matter, and neither is child exploitation!
@@sanddab If it's not that, then prove it! Though- it's impossible for you to do so, because it absolutely is child exploitation, but still- I'll give you a single chance to prove it. I'm waiting...
@@BigAlvideos101 Weren’t you the one who made the claim in the first place? So, back it up. The fact is, it’s just your opinion and you know it.
lets gooooo jared gilman hiveee
Saw movie at the cinema, in Bergen, Norway, July 2012. Bought it on Apple TV yesterday, saw it today. Just the most funny-beautiful film ever made. It breaks my hearts to see the great, the beautiful Bruce Willis, knowing that he is dying away alive now, love you Bruce, God bless you and keep you and heal you, Bruce!!!!
Jared’s tweet brought us here
Kara is adorable! I want to see them both in more movies
Jared gang let’s gooooo
This was always one of my favorite films. It actually introduced me to Wes Anderson's work when I started studying film. Its always my go-to movie when anyone asks for artistic movie recs.
So, you're telling me that you like a film that has blatant child exploitation in it, and that's pretty much borderline child p*rn? How could you like such an evil thing?
This is making me want to watch it again. Heck, it's making we want to see them do a sequel to it.
I *LOVE* them, what the heck!! This was one of my favorite movies and one of the ones that got me into film when I was younger, and made me realize just how much I love cinema. They're so cool offset, genuine friend material ^^
So, you're telling me that one of your favorite films has blatant child exploitation in it? How sick can you possibly be?
Actually I saw it yesterday and I can say it's still gave me the same feeling, that I watched it for the first time
I had an amazing opportunity to be an extra in the movie! It was a pleasure working with Wes Anderson and seeing the master at work!
Great timing! I rewatched this movie yesterday, and this video was only uploaded one day before that. Glad that this showed up in my recommended. Great interview!
Great movie and fun interview. They reminded me of how much fun if is to be on set and the feeling of being part of making something great. I haven't been able to do that in a long time.
if you haven't followed his twitter it's pretty good
They seem lovely
Get a load of this guy (complimentary)
this is my absolute favorite movie!!!
really awesome reunion interview, so may aww moments, she kept the stationary & the cat & let him adopt her dad! love this movie so so much, last great wes anderson story & i hope he can get back even just 1% of the magic of moonrise kingdom again someday. know that it's probably an unpopular opinion & it's just my opinion & viewpoint, but think that while i understand he wants to show that ugly realities are a part of life, he's flipped back to the royal tennenbaums approach & let that mindset dominate the entire landscape. moonrise is extremely special & poetic, maybe there'll never be another one like it that can touch your heart & make you believe in something so fierce & strong as the look in suzie's eyes in the field when she meets sam on the island & they lock gazes. it's sad that they can't watch it yet & realize how incredible they were in the film at a very young age, but relatable, not many people want to see or hear themselves. loved their thoughts on future suzie & sam & the writer & artist team is spot on. haven't seen jared in much but kara is one of my favorite actresses & a real warm person. thank you for posting this talk with them! 🌔🏖🌓⛺🌗🏕🌖📚🌕💗🙌🙏
respect. your fam.
My favorite Wes Anderson movie!Great interview!
Really? Liking a movie with such vile, disgusting, child exploitation in it? Shameful.
I loved Moonrise Kingdom right away, as its ideas/themes and general story line are immediately accessible. It's pure joy. Asteroid City, not so much. I may watch it again sometime soon to try and glen more of what certain critics are saying about it, but I'm not in a hurry.
Jared gilman and kara Hayward are great i wish they got more roles
yo it's my favorite twitter shitposter
This is so sweet, but time is crazy! What is time? Where are we? HELP!
Also, the fact that Jared is a cinephile is very apropos
really underappreciated movie
Such sweeties
fantastic duooooo.......
Wow. She looks so much like Keri Russell. She could be part of a Felicity reboot.
Kara grew up to be a absolutely beautiful woman. She had a great chemistry with Jaden through.
im exactly 1 year late to this
me too😭
I had this on in the background with no sound, and just watched the two of them. They seem so normal and full of life, i wish them all the best and happiness
I can’t explain it but this was just simply a good interview on everyone’s part
Still my favorite Wes Andersen films
If this vile, disgusting film that is full of child exploitation is truly one of your favorites, then you should be in a mental institution- or better yet- prison.
That seems to be the argument that most haters of this movie make, but literally everyone was on board with it, the parents and the child actors, portraying a innocent love story that should be appreciated within context. That being said I do remember the beach dancing scene being a bit weird when I first saw it, but then I got over it. If the movie was truly such a disgusting piece of filth like you said, I’m sure the actors won’t feel comfortable having this reunion either, so chill out
It's strange seeing them as adults, and Kara not speak in monotone while the shot was perfectly centered.
The tweet also brought me
MASTERPIECE
That’s such a great interview! Awesome to hear about that and see them
I'm here because of the other tweet
Hell yeah!!!!
“The whole thing was like a real surreal dream.” 😂😂😂
Hope to see Jared in Moonrise Kingdom 2
The lighting and production for Focus Features are fantastic! I wish I could make my scenes look like this. Budget.......
I love her laugh 😂🎉
nice interview and Moonrise Kingdom is one of my fav Wes Anderson movies. Everybody is always raving about Budapest Hotel...but I prefer Moonrise Kingdrom, tbh
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO
Missed the opportunity to bring up their joint appearance in Paterson (2016). Would've liked to hear what they had to say about that.
Damn, 11 years already?!
Damn, i am watching the 11 year reunion, 11 days later, , 11 PM😂
😅
finally!
woof woof woof jared woof WOOF WOOOOOOOF WOOOOOOOOOOF RAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Awe… you can tell he’s nervous with her being an old crush.
One tweet brought me here
Kara Hayward is a babe god damn
wish they wouldve mentioned their reunion on paterson
Jared Gilman.
Are they on the set of comedy bang bang?
YOU GUYS SHOULD DO SUBMARINE (2010) REUNION TOO!!
She got to keep the cat!!
Suzy and Sam together again 🥺❤️
Twitter King in the flesh
they both look so the same as they did then
When this movie winds up on TCM, it will be indistinguishable from the French New Wave films of the same period.
Anyway, I think Kara and Jared's assessment of their characters' lives after this movie was made is right on target. I also think their character will probably lose their virginities to one another earlier than most teenagers did.
Is it just me or were they meant to be similar to Max Fischer and Margo Tenenbaum?
