I used to think, just by the name of "soda jungle", I thinked It was soda made by Bowser like a drink in Bowser's Castle, but It was dangerous for humans, just that accidently got sprayed in a jungle by big barrels of soda, so It was called "soda jungle".

The way he gasps for air while coughing, then suffocating on the toxic gas with his corpse visibly twitching not long after... Nintendo was probably on a wild trip when they came up with that way to die.
