True Freshman QB, 12 total injuries, 8 of those starters and 5 of them are top WRs and the refs imo were calling some very bad calls or at least questionable ones. This OU team had no business winning but they did because as much as “this is SEC” we had to hear, this is Oklahoma football. We are an elite program even when we are hurting and playing bad we can still and always find ways to win because of our heart and fight that this program has with the pride of Oklahoma. Sooner Magic is real and we definitely deserve and will rise to the top of this elite conference.

OU would've beat Tennessee if Hawkins started. He wouldn't have coughed it up 3 times, he would've scored when we had the ball at the 5 yard line to start the drive, and he outscored them 12-6 in the second half. They're playing with 0 starting receivers and still have a chance to win each game
Yeah may is a good word for it. I still think Heup slowed it down in the second half to: 1) Keep everyone healthy 2) Not embarrass his Alma Mater 3) Keep the clock moving bc our offense was nothing to fear. With all that being said, Hawkins not coughing the ball up would’ve made the game much more interesting.

Sooner fan for 30 years now. This was one of my favorite ou wins ever. Baker at ohio state, the 2000 dream run, and trevors night against alabama. This was a season changing win and the bye couldn't have come at a better time. Texas will be a handfull, but im starting to feel really good about my sooners.

He's obviously still young, but there are some glaring issues that I'm not sure will end up being resolved. OU beat Auburn and Bama in the Sugar Bowl, then Saban realized that the days of 12-9 defensive struggles went the way of the dinosaurs. Saban is the reason there's offense in the SEC now. He learned that lesson from OU. Total defense isn't worth mentioning, if the final score isn't in your favor. 27-21 OU, a goal line stand, and a pick 6. The OU defense was stout enough.
