Wow - amazing interview - I'm both inspired and depressed at the same time. Inspired by Leon's insights and pointers which we can all learn from - depressed to think his focus is mainly on bassists who already have extensive orchestra repertoire - what about us poor bassists who can only practice 4 hours per day?
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm sure Leon works with many other bassists from all spheres in his private teaching. When I studied with him, I didn't have any real orchestra experience and got a huge amount from the experience. Plus, if you are doing 4 hours per day it sounds like you are working really hard, so congrats and I bet you're making great progress. :-)
