Firstly, beliefs can't be chosen. If someone makes a claim, it either makes sense to you or it does not. Choice is not part of the equation. How do we know the Earth is not at the center of the universe? Just because the Earth orbits the sun, doesn't prove that we're not at the center of the universe. The universe is the universe..that's everything, not just our little area of planets and sun.

Firstly, beliefs can't be chosen. If someone makes a claim, it either makes sense to you or it does not. Choice is not part of the equation. The idea that a god creates people knowing full well in advance that they will not follow him and then tortures them for eternity because of it makes no sense to me; therefore I do not believe it to be true.
Secondly, if god writes books, he should be able to speak for himself quite adequately. Are you saying this "David Jeremiah" guy knows better than god?
