Hey gang, sorry this video was so late to post. I've been having some super fun issues with my eyes and editing has been a real doozy! lol
Regardless, hope you all enjoy this video and if you'd like to see the full length reaction check out our Patreon:

    Important questions:
What are your favorite parts of the movie?
    What would your rate it?
How does it rank against the other Monty Python films?
How badly do you want a Full Frontal "Noodle-dy" shirt? lol!
    Cheers and much love,
    Emily

Favorite part must be the whole chase scene after the hiding scene, where a new religion is created and splinters off into a few different ones. One detail that got stuck from the first watching was the man lingering at the place where the great gourd/shoe debate took place, then aimlessly wandering off. Years later I found out that was the great (now late) Spike Milligan.
It kind of gets overshadowed by the full frontal noodlety soon after.
RIP Graham Chapman and his noodle. Never forget.

Fun fact: we have George Harrison to thank for this movie. The Pythoners were not able to get financing to make this movie due to what was considered controversial content. George knew some of the members and loved the script, so he bankrolled the cost of making the movie because he wanted to see it. It pays to have a friend who is in the Beatles - LOL. Georgehas a cameo in the movie. I can't remember which scene, but I think he plays one of the members of Judean People's Front. Or maybe he was one of the People's Front of Judea ;). The Alien scene.. There's several theories about why that is in the movie..
One theory is simply that they needed some way to explain how Brian survived the fall from the tower and decided to go wild with it.
Another is that its another stab at the religious aspect. Brian is saved by celestial beings, taken to "heaven"(space) and returned to Earth.
There's also the fact that this movie came a few years after Star Wars, and several movies tried to ride the coattails of their success. Python could have done it just to say "we got some space stuff too."
Basically there's several theories about the aliens. It's worth remembering that the Pythons are very intelligent, so it could be anything from just something they did because it seemed funny to them at the time to something they added to have a deeper hidden meaning.

@@ravenmasters2467 That's an interesting take. Deus ex Machina is a well known trope in fiction, but in Monty Python it was clearly a movie reference. The whole point of the movie was movie parodies - bible epics, sword and sandal epics such as Spartacus and the like.

It was funny, because this was at the time when Star Wars had just come out. Urban legend tells that the extras playing centurions during the "Biggus Dickus" scene, were told they wouldn't be paid if they laughed at anything said during the scene. As a result, the expressions as they tried to maintain a straight face were quite genuine, even though they ultimately failed. Legend is vague as to whether they were indeed paid or not.
Also, the, "No, there he is" while everyone believed Brian had ascended, compares only to the scene in Holy Grail when, after having claimed the witch turned him into a newt, Clesse's character admitted, "he got better."
