- Houston - This Texan town is one of the largest cities in the United States. Before you visit, find out the best places to check out in Houston so you can make the most of your trip.
When ready, browse vacation packages to Houston: www.expedia.com/Houston.d1782...
Once an outpost in the Old West, #Houston is now a down-to-earth metropolis, boasting a tremendous shipping and energy industry, as well as plenty of culture.
Kick off your Houston #vacation at Discovery Green, a 12-acre park tucked beneath the city’s skyscrapers. You’ll find public art and plenty of space to picnic or go for walks. Houstoners take pride in their various parks, museums, and open spaces, like the Houston Arboretum, where you can go birdwatching, learn about green living, and hike the trails to explore local wildlife.
Your Houston #sightseeing should include a trip to the USS Texas., This battleship served in two World Wars and now stands guard as a museum on the Buffalo Bayou. Head to the Gulf for a walk on the beach while you watch the sunset, then get ready to gear up for the evening with some delicious TexMex shared with the locals.
For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

I've been living in Houston for four years now and this video showcases some of the city's best but leaves a lot out.
Fifi Girardi how you like it
I've lived here for a while and it's pretty boring to me but I haven't visited many of its places sooo
Any suggestions I am on my way there right now from Dallas #roadtrip
Nobody can be bored in Houston, there are plenty of tourist atttractions.Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Zoo, Space Center Houston, Houston Museum of Nature Science, The MENiS, Collection, Children's Museum Houston, Downtown Aquarium, Discovery Green. There is a lot to visit and see, I live in Illinois, Chicago, been to Houston maybe twice.Texas is such a beautiful state.

Being from just outside of Houston, And now living in Houston, This video was bringing out everything fun to do in this city, I notice they missed quite a few things, But this was also posted 4 years ago. Thanks expedia!
Houston isn't a place to visit, it's a place for people to call home :)
Your exactly right, Houston isn't a place to visit...its a place to avoid!!!
+CaesarInVa fuck you

@@neoaleex That is racist.
I agree
I used to live in houston not long ago... wonderful place! love it there
We Love Texas from Iran 🇺🇲❤️🇮🇷
Most people have no clue how many different races, nationalities, and cultures live in Houston. If I were a betting man I’d say it’s one of the most diverse cities in the country right up there with NYC. We are nicer to one another that’s for sure. When Harvey hit I was so proud of this city and seeing everyone helping one another. I can’t recall a single news cast that showed a negative story about our city. We aren’t perfect but we get along with one another very well.
John Notmylastname I like the south and the Midwest for those reasons
Houston is the best
abraham Harris I like Houston and I loved the Galleria but Houston is not better than Chicago
Carlos Torres Yeah it is.
Fuck no. Chicago is much better. I like Houston tho.
Carlos Torres, your for sure right
Don't forget about the galleria and under downtown there's like a mall
Tim king wait what? A mall Under downtown, im a Houston native and i haven't heard of that shit
vegas kennerson you never heard of the underground tunnels in Downtown Houston??? You need to get out more
@@steezzyv2470 Then you've been living under a rock
I know this city like the back of my hand. Forget walking around the galleria and boring your guest to death.
hike through memorial park one day, hit the zoo and aquariuam the next, get shit faced at an astros game and ride your bike down the buffalo bayou trail (after you sober up) to catch a concert in the theater district, catch the light rail and get hammered at Mollys on main and shoot some pool before heading to the johnson space center and finding out dehydrated space ice cream doesnt mix with whiskey and getting emotional seeing the astronaut dedication films (because of the whiskey) then drag race down westheimer at 2 in the morning!
Lol that sounds awesome!
Preston McCloud - Fuck yeah you sound like me !! 👍👍
what isnt fun when alcohols involved lol
Geeze Preston McCloud - Just go to Clear Lake and get S ... Faced at the Turtle Club. Just go to the upper deck and order a case and a beer bong - they'll even call for an ambulance if you need one.
Everybody have different tastes. Good for you though!
Yay, we show galveston as a part of Houston, haha.
Chris S Galveston is not a part of Houston proper.
I was laughing at that.
It technically isn't but for tourists since it's so close it basically is
Ehhhhh, it over an hour drive. Not sure they should've included Galv.
patrickbama1234 but like it reallly is tho
cant wait to move there next summer!
texas is so cool Houston is still a nice city in the olden times :3
You sir... have never met 59 and 610 traffic...

Houston is beautiful ,u just gotta find the good places and last but not least is my perfect home
I love not only Houston I love texas at all
For me Houston is still one of the best place to live in. Back in 2004-2006, taking kids to school, attending classes at Glassell School of Art, visiting museums, coffeeing and dining at montrose area, listening the music at downtown Houston, going to Art show twice a year, enjoying the cold-cool-warm-hot weather, morning walk in the neighborhood, visiting antique shops and many more.. not to forget evacuating during Tornado Rita… Full of beautifull memories

Houston is badass
***** The only Houston is on planet Earth (that we know of.)
(Not all people can decipher "sarcasm" on the "web"; I, and many other native English speakers can, but it's good to keep an open mind when posting comments, to adjust for this fact.)

They forgot Houston is home to one of the biggest and best skydiving centers in the world!

Houston Texas is very good place I like it
Home of the Texans
Can we agree Houston is the greatest place in Texas.. women, space adventure, the only major city in Texas with a beach, the music culture, food, year round weather, and business opportunities!!! I am Houston raised and proud of it 🌵
Darius Robbins same broooo
Yo ima houston native, and tbh austin can compete with houston on bein the greatest city in texas , they both equally the best!!!
Same but what about courpus? It has a beach
why am I watching this..I've been living at Houston since I was born oml
Nicely done. One fact change. @ 3:34 The reason Houston was selected as the site for Mission Control. Not the weather - almost all NASA activities are indoors. LBJ brokered a deal with Humble (now ExxonMobil) to write-off an old oil field ( Clear Lake ) to the federal government to become the new site for NASA Mission Control.
Jesus loves you!
They should've mentioned the Galleria mall (one of the top ten largest malls in America), downtown tunnel walk, JP Morgan Chase tower city view, underground cistern, and the water wall. This video doesn't showcase Houston well.
TraGic lol you only have a malll tho
Yesssss
Damn right. The sports scene, our theater district, And Galveston is fifty miles from downtown.
awesome babe!!!
Houston if you dont like it dont come here better for us dam it

Wow I wasn't expecting to see expedia feature my city! It's kinda boring and hot here, better to live here than visit in my opinion. But it's alright ya know I give it a 6 out of 10. Now LA and New York are the "It" cities of the U.S. tourists mainly go there. 😉
don't forget Miami, or even Chicago!
Reed Arroyo Yeah those places too! I've been to Chicago before, it's fun there 😁
Niceice365 Are you sure that they're 'lit'?
Trust me. New York is NOT lit.
but hawaii in general is kinda the best
I'm in Dallas and I need to take my kids to Houston and explore. Especially NASA.
indfw they got The Kennedy Space Center in Florida
Houston: one of the best cities in the country and the best in Texas. And Kemah is pronounced [key-mah] not [kim-ah]. Also Galveston is pronounced [gal-ves-stun] not [gavel-stun]
I have family in the city of Houston, Texas
Houston > Dallas

when hurricanes hit... crawling to Dallas! 214.. you already know..
Hi Expedia,
I usually like and trust your travel videos, this one for Houston however is a negative exception. I went there a couple of weeks ago. The one great thing about the city is Johnson Space Center.. It's actually possible to get there by bus. All the other attractions however are off the limits without a car e.g. Galveston and Battleship Texas. Your video suggests it's all more or less in the city which is absolutely not the case and the horrible public transit doesn't go there at all.
Young travelers like me are subject to high underage fees when renting cars so it can't be expected for everyone to get a rental ..and without a car there really isn't that much to to in Houston expect for JSC.
The great thing about Houston is....leaving!!!
Well, you should if not relied exlusivly on Expedia on deciding to make your trip. With that in mind I better do more research on my Cabos trip!
Rocket 🚀 city 🌃
I did grow up from here but for those moving to Houston good luck. the only downside of living here is finding a decent job, it gets very difficult and can be rather frustrating (speaking from experience) just make sure you have good connections with others out here before taking moving into this city any consideration
How about healthcare jobs?
there use to be a six flags astroworld I love that place
The air is made of hot soup
I didn't know about a quarter of this stuff and I live in houston
Houston is the best NBA team
love Htown!!! so many bars and restaurants! Way better than Dallas!
I live in Houston. I work...
I need to explore my city.
Me to. lol

Love Texas, but I've decided that California is my type of state!
***** Why is that?
patrickbama1234 I just feel better being closer to the ocean. I enjoy the laid back lifestyle, too (in most parts of California). I'm also a huge fan of the outdoorsy lifestyle California embraces. The people are open minded and wonderful, and the landscape is breathtaking and diverse. It's just an enjoyable place to be.
+Seven Foot Pelican true. I live in California and just visited Texas this summer. Two entirely different places and lifestyles. I LOVEE CALIFORNIA! Much more sights and diversity (culture wise) than Texas. Texas has a lot of green area where you have to travel long periods of time just to get to a major city (Houston, Dallas). Cali has better weather, diversity, things to do
***** But we don't have fault lines in Texas.
No shit everyone moves to California I am from California and it's overrated with overpriced homes and taxes fuck that

I'm 16 and going to live in Houston as a exchange student next year... sad to hear that everyone thinks it's boring
"Industrial Camp" is about the most generous description I've heard yet of Houston.
If you go to Houston, don't forget stop at the food court where's they sell fresh boiling craw fish. 🤤
sweeet
plan to be 3 days there with wife !!!!!!!!!!!!! but I seem to need a month now !!!!!!!
my city!!

I loved it. Except for the dodgy areas
Dodgy areas?I live in Houston and there are no dodgy areas
