If you put batteries in this unit, and turn it on, you'll notice that there is a light in the connector that plugs into the vehicle, very handy. Thanks for sharing.
@@anthonyshepard9606 Not sure, just put batteries in your unit, plug the cable into it, turn on the power, and you'll see the LED light in the connector that connects to the vehicle.
Hello, P.T. once again. This is awesome. It's like a mini flashlight. Whose ever dashboard that you're looking under it is always a little dark underneath. This feature comes in quite handy. I downloaded the owner's manual, and I am still looking for that information about the light being in the plug. Nothing so far. You would think putting this little information in the beginning of the manual would be handy for the customer. I have not plugged this in yet, but I was wondering does the light turned off once it's plugged in? Thank U again.
@@anthonyshepard9606 I don't remember if the light turned off once the connector is plugged into the vehicle, it's an LED, draws little power, so I expect not. I suspect that that Innova, just expects users to put batteries into the unit, then the light is self evident as it illuminates as soon as you power the unit up.
I've had the 5610 for about 2.5 years and it's a decent scanner. The one thing that I don't like about mine is that it will not update through the Repair Solutions 2 updater program on the computer. It updated once right after I got it in early 2020 and will no longer update. All of the data in the tool is from 2018. Innova doesn't seem to be able to fix the issue and says I have to send the scanner back to them for an update. Hopefully yours will update like it should. I have tried uninstalling the updater program and reinstalling it with no luck.
Just keep in mind that if you have an older vehicle you will be limited in what you can do. Don’t get me wrong, it will scan the entire car, gives an enormous amount of live data. You can read fuel trims, voltage, alternator, battery testing, coolant temp, transmission fluid temp, will tell you if you car will pass emissions inspection, tire pressure, engine oil levels, and some bidirectional which allows you to turn on and off certain components in the car, will erase codes, etc. In June of 2021 I paid $280.00 on eBay, brand new and no issues with the unit since.
@@mikeoneill7360 Good thing is that on their website you can enter your vehicle information and find out what the tool can do with your vehicle and what it cant.
Show how well it displays all the advanced PID's in Live Data Mode....a scanners ability to displays codes from standard and OEM modules is important but most of these scanners fall really short or are near useless in live data mode, most only show standard OBD2 PIDs and never the advanced ECU, TCM, SRS, BCM, Airbag, ABS PIDs

: Hello Peter Tyrrell. I was not aware of this option. Is it in the manual? 🤔 🤔

@Peter Tyrrell : Thank you for the quick and fast response. May the car scanners be with us. 🐢 😀 🐢 👍
P.S. and the conversation about the scanner.

Update: Innova finally came out with a fix for the updater and current updates for the 5610 so now my scanner is finally updated.

Is this still their newest scanner? As of today
: Did U install the 3 AA batteries?
I was informed that you did not need to install the batteries. Are you aware of this? 🤔 🤔 🤔
I just bought it and didn’t come with batteries and works well without?
You only need the batteries if you want to save some of the data. If you just plug it in it will do like it did in the video
Does it program Keys or ECU?
