  • This is the evolution of the Opel Corsa. The Corsa was launched in 1982 and was produced by German car manufacturer Opel as an economical and practical alternative to larger and more expensive cars. The Corsa was marketed under various brands of General Motors such as Vauxhall, Chevrolet or Holden. In 2014, Corsa was taken over by the PSA group (Peugeot-Citroen).
The evolution and history of the Opel Corsa spans six generations, each with its own style and characteristics. The first generation, Corsa A, (1982-1993) had a simple and functional body, with a hatchback, sedan or utility variant. The second generation, Corsa B, (1993-2000) had a more rounded and aerodynamic body, the third generation, Corsa C, (2000-2006) had a sharper and more modern design. It was followed by the fourth generation, Corsa D, (2006-2014) which had an all-new, larger and more robust body, then the fifth generation, Corsa E, (2014-2019) had a sleeker and more refined design. The most current generation, the Corsa F (2019-present) has a more dynamic and connected design, with an electric variant called the Corsa-e. Also, the Opel Corsa Facelift 2024 model comes with a completely new design, a modern and intelligent cabin and offers its first mild-hybrid engine, 48 volts, but also a purely electric version.
From 1982 until 2024, Opel Corsa proved to be one of the most popular cars in the small class, being sold in more than 18 million units worldwide. All Opel Corsa models have been appreciated for their reliability, economy and practicality, but also for their style and performance. The Corsa was the ideal car for young people, families or people looking for an affordable and versatile car.

I believe it looked nice up until the Corsa D, after that it became less beautiful and the Corsa F is a rebranded 208. If it came with an Opel engine and gearbox it would stand a chance. Opel is the king in making sporty small cars.

It's interesting to see how opinions on the Opel Corsa's design evolution vary. The Corsa D indeed marked the end of an era for many enthusiasts, with its distinctive style that balanced sportiness and practicality. The shift in design and engineering approach in later models, particularly with the Corsa F's shared platform with the Peugeot 208, has sparked debate among fans of the brand.

So sad that in Brazil we only received until Corsa C. I have one, it’s a great car with a low cost maintenance
