The most underrated part of Alex's story/career is the tail end of his kickboxing career. The people he beat around that time were also world class champions. All of those fighters have hunderds of wins and KO's combined, and he knocked most of the spark out. He is already one of the greates kickboxers of our era and now he is also a champion in multiple weight divisions in the UFC. This guy might be the GOAT of martial arts in general if he keeps on going like this.

I mean he’s one of the only fighters that had me watching fight clips of them out of the UFC, he always had something different about him. Once he was done with all the Izzy fuzz he got the Glover avenger mantle beating Jamahall, and now with Jiri and the whole Pataxó Warrior vs Samurai and magic thing going, it´s like the dude keeps pulling storylines out of thin air. I love Poatan but he is already a living legend, I really hope tomorrow Jiri gets the W in order to have a trilogy. And what the hell, let Alex take over Heavyweight before he quits. • @cherryb0ng

Some other things that we don't mention about Pereira is that he has his own catch phrase which is easy to pronounce for any human being that speaks any language. Chama! And how that's essentially the only comprehensible thing he says if you don't speak Portuguese makes it also even more memorable. I think if he spoke English he'd have somehow ruined his chances of sounding and looking like the stoic Easter island head that he is.
Alex will always be beloved. He's already beloved by hardcore Kickboxing and Muay Thai fans.

Top 3 roadblocks to being face of the UFC:
    1. Just don't fight
    2. Lame personality
    3. Fight Islam Makhachev

I'd say in Boxing you're not Allowed to lose or Be Boring while in UFC you're allowed 1 or the other.
Boring boxers will receive a ton of hate equal if not more than boring UFC fighters or in some cases be completely ignored (to the level where a boxing casual can't even name the champions). Boring UFC fighters will still climb up the rankings and be recognised by casuals even if they receive hate (to the point where even casuals know the likes of Colby,Ian Garry and Belal even if they're boring).
In boxing a Single loss will mess up your career while in UFC almost every fighter has them.

I wouldn’t say a loss can compromise a boxer’s career completely, it’s how the fighter handles it and bounce back. Look at fighters like canelo, Ryan Garcia, Ali, Hearns and more

Conor is genuinely being himself. An irish guy having a craic. Alex being himself. I dont think him being indigenous is a gimmick and his shaman ritual is a sham. He is truly being hinself. And jiri is ehat he says himself to be although he seems kinda autistic but its more so because of the language barrier i guess like Islam Makhachev. He isnt entertaining tho. He has no charisma as Alex.
Alex is super chill dude and he got the whole thing down to define his authentic self.
