Honestly, I own two of these engines. One in a Skoolie, another in my OBS Ford. I checked out your website and live 16 hrs. away. I would totally drive that 16 hrs to have my 7.3 rebuilt by you two. Nice work.
Agreed. My last engine I rebuild need the engine block to be decked. I measured everything out and I knew what was needed on the block. I got the engine block back, Installed my crank, pistons, rods and measured my piston protrusion to find out the machine shop took off the maximum amount of material off the deck leaving me with only 1 thou. left on my protrusion. Engine still went together and is running now but is just complete laziness to what they did.
I paid 1100 dollars to have my 7.3 heads done. Im not sure what valves they installed but i had given them comp 910s and shims. They were nice and tight.
Been watching you on TikTok and love your content but I like how hunch more you can go in to more depth on what you guys are doing keep up the great work!!!!!!!
Appreciated! TikTok is fun because it is short & sweet... But I think RUclips could be a lot of fun if I can make time for it! Much easier to go in-depth, but much more time consuming to create the videos.
I thought the video was awesome, and I liked the music.. some great looking work to be seen here. My only wish is that the current (at time of making the video) pricing was included for the delivered product. I understand people dont like posting prices since they can change, or dont want competition seeing them, but it's a huge help for people like us that are watching to get an idea if this is something we can actually afford to have done. Anyone that interested in finding out for dishonorable reasons can just call the shop and ask anyway. Great job on the heads and the video as well. Thanks for posting this.
I remember when 3 angle cutters first hit the mainstream market, boy were we happy, no more refacing all those damn stones, what a waste of material. 3 angles plus the blend, NICE. Do you guys still do single angle valve jobs and do you have 2 different prices or with this one-step process, one job, one price?
I would love to do this for a living but the machines are expensive... can you guys make a video explaining how your dad started his business and the machines he used and if you can start over today what would you do differently
Great video with amazing detail on your process! I am currently looking for a machine shop to work on my 97 Powerstroke motor. I'm in Denver can I bring it to you? Or do you know any other shops that would work on it for me in Colorado? Looking to have rotating assembly balanced, heads decked, exhaust manifolds decked and possibly 0.020 over bore. Thanks and again great video. -Kyle
What are the largest valve seats and valves that will fit in a stock bore application of a 7.3 Powerstroke diesel head and still have the correct clearances? 1.68 seems to be the OE Spec but I can see there’s room to expand both valves and also there’s plenty of room to cut wider seats to accommodate larger valves. Upsizing to a lager bore would also contribute to increased area for both the valves and seats. Is it possible to fit a 1.88 valve for intake and a 1.925 for exhaust and still have room for seats in a 4.11 bore? Possibly bored 40 over if needed? It would be tight but from my measurements and calculations it should be possible, but clearances on the seats and between the valves and cylinder walls are of concern. What are the largest valve and valve seat applications you’ve installed yet? Ported and Polished Heads with the correct size valves and seats, in combination with the right Cam and Possibly Fly Cut Pistons could revolutionize the Flow and Performance of these very common heads known for severe restrictions in stock applications. If you don’t mind providing your opinion and experience, What do you think?
I live in colorado and could deliver my heads to you in Greely. how much do you charge to do the machining work on the heads if i provided the injector cups, valves, valve seats, valve guides, seals, springs, shims, keepers, etc nothing wrong with the heads just doing a total rebuild and dont wanna leave anything undone
HOW are you able to cut seats like that on your TCM? I just picked up a TCM and have been messing with it for about 3 weeks. I CANNOT get my seats to cut straight AT ALL. I have checked the spindle run out with a er32 collet and precision ground rod and I only have 7 tenths run out. I have it damn near dead nuts level as its ever going to be at the spindle, and the guide is dead nuts level too. But when I check my seats by lapping like you do, I'm getting very, very poor concentricity. I'd love it if you'd help a newbie out and let me pick your brain sometime!
Im using the goodson 3D fast cut, regular tapered pilot (not carbide). My guides have miles, but aren't really worn..at least not worn in the thousands, maybe the tenths.
Get some rebuilt ones and keep your old ones as cores for future purposes. If the old guides and seats are in good condition and just in need of rehoning/polishing + resurfacing the deck mating surface it might cost 250 a head, whereas getting rebuilt ones might cost 300 a peace. It's your decision man but I'd go with the rebuilt ones.
Haha! Appreciate it. We have a new valve seat machine, so if you liked what you saw in this video you will LOVE the work we are turning out on the new machine.
If I may make a suggestion, please cut out the horrible generic music and show us the work being done in real time/speed. Not too much speed shots so we can see that really cool work. Thanks.

BEAUTIFUL QUALITY WORK !
pure perfection! your father/parents have been good teachers!
Enjoyed the video. It’s good to see that there are still skilled people who take pride in their work out there.
Quality work, it's great to watch a reconditioning job being done properly, too many shops out there don't rise to this standard!

nice work, attention to detail is key to a nice product. so many production shops just want to get it out the door.
Awesome work as usual. I'm looking forward to the Serdi videos!
Same! And yes, awesome as usual!
You’re very talented!
Absolutely breath taking quality work!!

Great video bro!!!! Keep up the good work.

very good job
can you do a high performance valve job on a 6.0 powerstoke next?
Sweet
That's beautiful, take my money!
Can I ship to you if I ever need to send my heads
I love it when they plaster music over them talking….
What is the importance.of the black valves?
Do ever ring the PowerStroke heads?
How much is a average cost to do this job on a set of 7.3 heads? From the New England area have new valve springs so I want the heads rebuilt
Just to add the heads only have 105xxx on them just doing a 600 hp project new basically everything besides pistons and rings
Класс 👍
😊
Awsome to see the process! Plz get rid of the music though
like the new vids with no music
Do you sell rebuilt 7.3 heads or can I ship heads to you to rebuild? You do good tedious work
👍👍👍👍👍
Man. I wish I could work with you to gain real workshop experience. But I live so far from you 😥
where are you located? I have a set of 6.0 powerstroke heads I'll like to send to you guys to rebuild for me.
How did you clean out the injector cup bore?
We all want to know this .
It's crazy lot work! What price for 2 heads with parts?
What's a ballpark for what this job would cost?
Is that the original cradle that came with your TCM? I have a TCM-25 as well, but my cradle looks different than yours. Just curious.
No it is not original.
What's the cost for this job?

@@Frosty_Saiyajin I am building a 7.3 capable of 700+ hp lol no thanks on the rebuilds.
Damn, know where I'm interested in sending my heads away if I ever have to tear into the ol gal
Haha! Appreciate it. We have a new valve seat machine, so if you liked what you saw in this video you will LOVE the work we are turning out on the new machine.
Nice job! Are you guys in kansas?
We are in northern Colorado near Greeley.
What’s the cost on this job
What the name of the software you use for specs?

How much was all
This
Please consider making videos without the background noise.
Nice video... Could do without the music though lol
Again
Great video, lose the annoying competing music
If I may make a suggestion, please cut out the horrible generic music and show us the work being done in real time/speed. Not too much speed shots so we can see that really cool work. Thanks.
Check out some of my newer videos and tell me what you think! (No music, hopefully more real time speed, etc)
the background music... pass... (Was a whippersnapper back then)
You gotta get rid of the annoying music
+1 on getting rid of the annoying music.
Man, I like your videos, but that music is god-awful.
This is a very old video lol, none of my videos have music these days 👍🏼
@@JAMSIONLINE that's good. I just kind of watch them as they show up in my recommended. I'd much rather hear the music the machines make
horrible annoying music
DUDE I HAD TO STOP WATCHING BECAUSE OF THAT TRIPY MUSIC. DONT NEED IT
I would encourage you to give us one more chance and watch one of our newer videos! They don’t have music lol
Tik tok type music is garbage
How much does this cost?
