This video is very useful but my printer Epson XP 950 remains blocked by saying that inking-pads are at the end of life because it has an internal program has to unblock. Do you know how?
hello excellent tutorial , I wanted to ask I have a problem my XP600 does not recognize more ' paper sizes you know where is the recognition sensor size paper in this printer ? if you would do a tutorial on how to disassemble and change it? thanks a lot I have also subscribed to you :)

I have a XP-960, and I have just removed the waste ink pads, cleaned them, dried them for 2 days until the pads were dry, fluffed them up again, as I had flattened the pads to squeeze the water out, and refitted them. It's as good as buying new pads, but, the external tank is much easier. Cheers
I will NEVER buy a Epson crap again!! I bought a Epson XP410 Printer and it Didn't even last a month!! Now I have 2 410s with a waste ink pad error! I went back to Canon Got a MX 922 What a AWESOME printer!! It will even Print DVDs!! Makes the Epson printers look like toys!!
Canon is just as bad as EPSON, motherfuckers now all modified their printers so they don't take 3rd party refillable carts, reset chips, it's all one use chips !

Whats the point!? It doesn't get rid of the Waste Ink Pad Error on the printer and you can use it. The reset utility doesn't work anymore. Then what? piece of crap! almost $300 for an Artisan 837 and it craps out in 2 years!!!!? BULL SHIT!
+Camille Salvador I wondered about that too but you can buy a reset software key for under £10. I use CISS too and had mine for 2 and half years when the dreaded error came up. I had a clogged print head too so anther !5 spent on a cleaning kit. I beginning to wonder is it cheaper to buy a new printer? Epsons are doing their own CISS systems but not sure about the waste tank lol.
Whoa! no way! they are? that would be amazing. I actually called Epson and they told me that i was better off buying another one of their products. The nerve of them! ug! and by the way, those reset keys are free. There are companies that try to make money off of people that don't know but epson gives them for free. But at some point not even that works. I think i need to clean it...
+Star Black If Epson would allow users to use other brands' ink, why don't they have internal ink tanks at the first place? Why would they do a CISS? It's like saying Apple will have their own jailbreak program. What's the point?
+Star Black They MIGHT be free. There's a free software out there that does resets for some older models, but good luck if you don't happen to own one of those models. I could be wrong, but I don't think you'll find a free one for these XP's. And these XP's sure are a LOT more difficult to hook a tank up to. My old Artisan 50 all I had to do was open a little plate on the back and attach a hose. This feels almost like having to perform surgery! ;)
Nice guide, used it just to disassemble, clean/dry and reassemble waste ink reservoir, (and then reset counter) but helped a lot anyway.
Beautiful lesson! Thank you very much! Good Luck.
Awesome bit of Texas blues
What's the tune?

Why not just attach the hose into the hole, instead using a glue?
and you dont need a software??

This video would be a lot more impressive if it had a link to where you could get the tubing and stuff.
