Operation PITTING: British forces support withdrawal from Kabul

Personnel from the UK’s high readiness force, 16 Air Assault Brigade are working in Kabul this week to ensure the safe movement of British nationals and those eligible under the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy.
Planners, logisticians and specialist personnel including dog handlers are among those deployed to Kabul on Operation PITTING.
British forces will remain in place to ensure those Afghans who are eligible for relocation to the United Kingdom that want to, are registered, and evacuated as the UK accelerates the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy… the first of which have been evacuated over the weekend.

....... what a positive way to spin an unfortunate situation. Why not just something nearer to the truth. Like ". .... is in a desperate attempt to rescue the last of its allies...". It would be without doubt reflect the situation of silent retreat and a desperate "looking for private Ryan".
