I don’t think they have the best vocals in the world but they can definitely compensate their songs with their live singing. They would’ve been much much better if they get the proper vocal training especially when they are made to sing harder songs
When they were rookies ITZY seemed invincible..........but their "mid" vocals plus their garbage music, is the reason new girl groups are completely overshadowing them
@@mariasol1545 the keyword is "seemed", they didn't have competition when they debuted. That's why people thought they were god-tier talented when they debuted. It was an illusion really, but I still think their born to be album was great
@@mariasol1545Mid vocals really isn't that big of a problem. They are good live singers and at the end of the day, vocals isn't the thing that sells. I would argue that their music is still pretty damn good. Sneakers was a miss, I'll admit that, but Cheshire was great, Cake was pretty damn itzy if you ask me, and untouchable was amazing.
What make Nmixx special is what we see in the studio is what we will get in the live. High notes, adlibs, Harmonies and everything. The performance is also exactly the same as their stage practice. They are one of (if not) the most REAL group in current Kpop.
@@michaeljoshua726was about to say it, I often caught myself going back to certain videos cause they sound so good live to the point of surpassing the studio version
Only if you don't count the bands. Almost all bands replicate all the high notes and adlibs live without backtrack. Even Nmixx uses backtrack, even though they're amazing singers.
"Nmixx's competence exceeds their own discography" 🔥🔥🔥 Edit: why are people using this quote to shade groups?? I just loved this sentence because is true for Nmixx, but I don't think this should be used to shade any group. STOP WITH THIS TOXIC BEHAVIOUR! @@mintealeafy idk why SM, debuted a girl group with very competent vocalists, who are very happy to sing live, and have them lipsync most of the time. Like it doesn't make sense to me at all.
It's 2024 yall, not 2021... Ever since Coachella 2022, aespa have been performing live in tons of soundchecks, concert, school festivals, k-con, fan meetings,... but for some reason, whenever people talk about lipsyncing they always mention aespa first. And the funny thing is, all the stages aespa lipsyncing, tons of idols lipsyncing too, people even accept it as a norm, no one question it, but only with aespa it's becomes an abnormality 💀
Actually there are some of their first stages were you can listen Ning Ning fighthing to go above the track. And the face of Winter because people still belive they never sing live... 😅 Sorry, she looked cute being pissed there.
Aespa Giselle is so underrated. Despite many people considered her vocally “weaker” than the other three members, she consistently carrying their tone beautifully - especially the vocal layers and adlibs. She has demonstrated those on the recording sessions and back vocals videos. People often forgot she was a choir singer and her voice was used as the backing vocal in Black Mamba’s bridge! 🤩 (yes, that heavenly siren voice is hers). I found her sweet alto voice can balance WinNigRin’s high pitch. That’s why people thought she’s weaker but I think she just has her own league ☺️💖 I love how she never try to sing out of her range that some kpop idols did. Staying in lower register beautifully compliment her team members ❤

I love KIOF, but from an individual standpoint, Belle is just significantly stronger than all the girls and there is a large gap between her and her members. As a group, I do think they do much better.
tbf, Belle's father is also a well known singer in Korea (especially with the elders) so she probably grew up with vocal lessons which is why she's a stronger vocalist in the group, but the other members are talented in singing as well
@@AnAdultKpopFanYou're right but Haneul is improving very quickly. Her lines in the recent Brown Eyed Girls cover were impressive. Natty also has pretty good technique despite not being the strongest vocalist
people this day need to know more about TVXQ (esp during their 5 members era) and CSJH (The Grace). both groups were acapella based (vocally) and still have one of the best dancers in their generation.
Nmixx really gives you hope that late-gen groups do have singing talents. They sing so well you'd think they are an SM group. Their practice video with live singing is really impressive.
One can hope that JYPE knows this, at least they did with VCHA their American group. They uploaded an acoustic cover - no edit no nothing - and kpop fans made fun of them bc they don't know what live singing sounds anymore😭no but given that they're rookies and had like 6 months to train the coaches really worked their magic. Let's see what the next move is, I feel like people are done with NMIXX which is sad bc they had great music for over a year now and VCHA also only had bangers but basically people don't want new JYPE groups rn. They want new direction for the old ones (but ignore the actual great things that are done). So who knows when there will be another Korean group.
Next level it's Nmixx, Mamamoo and EXO. Aespa is good, but not SO great. They are like Red Velvet - one great vocalist, one well, one pretty well. But Wendy > Ning2, Seulgi > Winter, so even Red Velvet better and they are not top-level, they are the second line of vocal oriented groups. Same KiOf and Babymon now, BM maybe even stronger than aespa.

I think we can put the issue of a group's vocal level of performance in four stages: 1. *Bad* Vocal Level - One who is unable to perform adequately. Very oscillating and, in most cases, will use playback and pre-recorded vocals. More than 90% of current groups are unfortunately at this level. 2. *Competent* Vocal Level - One who will do what is expected of a performance, having the freedom to highlight other characteristics without the vocals really getting in the way. The classic: raw vocals. In some cases they may surprise you. itzy can be at this level, as can IVE in some cases; stayc and, perhaps, gidle 3. *Good* Vocal Level - One that has the ability to replicate the studio version. A more "safe" vocal. It hardly disappoints what it delivers, besides the vocal itself attracts attention a little more than other possible aspects. The chance of surprises here is much greater and a little more frequente. I think currently kiss of life could be at that level, aespa (despite playback's problems), maybe baemon, and a few others. 4. *Great* Vocal Level - One that, for some reason, manages to improve the studio version. They are more courageous and have the vocals as the dominant aspect and what will attract the most attention regardless of other qualities that the group may have. In addition to having songs in which only they perform at the level of the original, that is, songs in which the cover will never be better. I think the 2nd generation was the one with the most groups at this level. There were some from the 3rd generation too and, currently, NMIXX is the only one with these characteristics. It's a group that since their debut has gone viral more for their performances and "acappella" than their music itself.
i love clips from nmixx's lives when they sing a lot of different songs and i know their covers will be amazing cause their tones, their skills are just fantastic. and it's only the beginning of their career... they're so impressive
Everyone in aespa have good vocal control and technique they are very considerate of each others vocal color, they're so good at blending that they're live even sound like the recording version, no muffled or breathing sounds, so clean. I love aespa's encore stages, they are so stable.
I don't listen much to Aespa but they're so good despite debuting during the covid period and not singing live much back then. Giselle the main rapper can easily outsing many lead and main 4th gen singers.
yes. some ppl just dont get it that most sm artists has their own individual singing skills. even the rap and dance lines are impressive and skilled enough in singing. they may not be as strong as their members, but they can easily be at the same level, and even better than most lead vocalists out there
I don't get why Lia gets the most bashed for her vocals in ITZY Like yes , Itzy as a whole are vocally weak but Lia is still the most developed so she should be the last one in Itzy to be get bashed for her vocals coz the other 4 members are weaker than her
She's the main vocalist and she doesn't exactly specialize in anything else, so there will be more focus on her vocals and the areas she lacks in. I also feel like she's an easy target for hate because she's not as strong of a dancer as the other members so people will nitpick everything about her
To be fair Yeji and her are almost at a point where they’re interchangeable since Yeji’s improvement and while Lia’s still the best vocalist, it’s not by much.
i think it’s mainly just cause people don’t like her tone and it doesn’t help that most itzy’s songs aren’t catered toward her voice. Technique wise (in my opinion) she’s on par with a lot of 4th gen main vocals
It's probably because she is the main vocalist, so people often compare her to others main vocalist, and her gap with them is quite big. While yeji, for example, will be compared to others lead vocals, where the gap is not that big. Another thing that comes to mind is that she's the only one in the group that's not a dancer, so people often choose this to put her down. But yeah, I do agree that she gets completely undeserved hate
It think it’s a bit more complicated than that. I think although Lia is the strongest vocalist in itzy, the songs she’s given don’t suit her type of singing which makes her sound worst than she actually is. Another reason is that although Lia is not a bad singer, she is unfortunately one of the weaker main vocalists compared to other kpop groups. So people tend to degrade her for that. And one last thing is that (I kinda speculate ppl might be thinking) is that “if Lia’s is the weakest dancer of the group, shouldn’t her vocals make up for it?” And unfortunately her singing doesn’t reach the main vocalist standards that people set for her. To elaborate, you see it quite often that main vocalists of group usually don’t have the best dance skills, but people don’t pay mind to it because of their overwhelming vocal capabilities. And unfortunately, Lia just doesn’t have that jaw-dropping singing skills that people expected. That’s just my take on it tho!!
I spend at least 50% of my ITZY listening time wishing JYP would have picked a lower key. I worry badly about how forcing upper belts might damage their vocal chords in the long term. "Cheshire" is literally painful to sing along with and I usually just transpose it down an octave.
@@RobalexeCheshire still would’ve been hard for nmixx, to live sing and belt or mix that high in EVERY chorus and sing live in all their stages would be really rough. They could do it, but it would be hard
Leaving out Mamamoo makes sense. I don't think anyone who's into vocals has questions about their "vocal competence". I enjoyed the way you profiled the groups here. I've always liked ITZY's vocals, while knowing they weren't Mamamoo/SPICA/Big Mama level (3 of my favorite groups). But now I can explain WHY I like their vocals: they're solid enough for their songs and concepts, and when we see/hear them live, they're ALSO comfortable singing and showing their voices.
@@mymelodramaticantics MMM is just… very… VERY obviously talented. They go to a level that’s beyond kpop and are so well established that people ALWAYS think about their vocals first. With groups like Aespa, Itzy, or Nmixx, you think about the songs and concepts (and change-ups) first, THEN the vocals second, or even third/fourth in Itzy’s case. So, leaving out MMM is like leaving out SNSD- everyone knows already about them, you can’t say what hasn’t been said.
@@Saladfork1929 Yeah, there's no discourse about Mamamoo because every praise they get is simply an indisputable fact. They can dance, have amazing stage presence, challenge the norms of the industry, and can sing on a level equivalent to soloists while synchronizing as a group. Sure, NMIXX is my fave, but Itzy and Aespa are totally awesome too. All three groups are the real deal. Haewon is my top K-pop girl group singer, and I have no doubt she'll soon join my other beloved singers, Ki-Young Park and Ali, as one of Korea's top divas.
Why didn't use Aespa latest performance at university as a source? Five songs, all live despite Winter being sick, they're crazy skilled, and the fact their songs has so much high note
They only didn't sing Armageddon and Supernova but Winter while being sick had more balanced mix than usual in Next level and Spicy but he didn't care about that, even through he says he minds Winter's chesty mix. Ning Ning also tried to do belt with less heady approach for OST they sang live, but again nothing about that.
Yeah, ITZY is pretty decent I'd say, at least their encore stages are really fun for me ^^ Still, nice to have some list of competent groups, it feels less and less important nowadays :/ (I meant decent not dance :D). In my opinion, them and NMIXX are perfect examples of groups who can sing live (well) even with hard choreo. Much appreciated.
Finally someone talking about itzy, they have a good vocal live, they are capable to sing their own songs even though the songs and coreos are not thar easy, but people pretend they are bad.
NMIXX is so good that their haters throw hate at them for singing live like it's a bad thing. Normally, idols get hate for lip syncing but NMIXX is the only group that gets hate for flexing their vocals 😂

I saw their performance at the festival singing Armageddon (which is an easy song) and the backtrack was extremely loud. Even because they were using a handheld microphone, so I saw several ridiculous moments where the microphone was not in the mouth and the audio of the voice was playing (and still with live dynamics, that is: pre-recorded vocals). Their "live" voices were very low and practically only Winter struggled to fight the playback. But I don't know if I can send a Twitter video link here.
I love that you included Itzy! People take it as an insult when anyone calls attention to the fact that it's not a group of vocal powerhouses but not every group has to be. I would argue that most groups shouldn't be and they shine when each member gets to play to their skills. Their strength lies in their fun composition and performance ability, and I'd much rather a group hit their specialties out of the park than continuously swing and miss because they can't live up to an out-of-range, over-edited recording. Itzy almost always delivers on a performance that looks and sounds just like it did in their MVs and singles and they're easily one of the most fun groups to watch live because of it.
0:45 nah starting with itzy is perfect tbh, the girls are great performers and are stable when singing live. Even though they aren't the best vocalists in kpop, they all don't lack breath control and, in my opinion, that's honestly more important than most things when you're in a kpop group
I love your videos but also want to see you analysing different groups. Especially nowadays, Zerobaseone.

Great selection, fan of all of them. Thanks for including ITZY, they're looked down a lot. I had the opportunity to attend their concert recently and they held the 2:30 hr concert incredibly. Their level of energy is fire, their dancing is so so pretty and, although to me they didn't sound purely live (I think there must have been some sort of filtering because they sounded just like the albumns and that is not realistic) they were amazing.
Everyone here kinda misunderstood the point of this vid, the POV is to list vocally COMPETENT group groups, not vocally SKILLED groups, hence why Itzy are listed here even though their vocal line is like a joke compared to Twice's vocal line.
Itzy may not have that tone people desire or that bombastic vocal range. But of all groups in KPOP, they are the most stable. They can sing while dancing the most difficult choreography. And in my book, that’s idol material.
I think you should look into ZB1 (Zerobaseone)! They are not a sensational group, but for the fact they have 9 members, they're a group with vocal qualities - compared to other 4th and 5th gen groups, especially male groups - with a few very nice vocal tones (Ricky, Jiwoong, Matthew) and also a few members that support really well (Taerae, Hao), even members that actually have rapper/dance as their main position yet sing very good (Hanbin, Gunwook). Some lack consistency and stamina, but I've found them very refreshing for this new generation, especially since a lot of them show musicality through being able to harmonize, use vibrato, being able to switch between chest/mix/head quite decently, showing they're aware of at least basic training.
I still can’t believe the public voted for such a vocal based group (Hope the agency capitalizes on the vocal trump card). I have to give credit to the boys for being multi players, in that; the public was voting them for other things.
I feel like fifth-generation boy groups should be brought up in this discussion, especially ZB1. The members click with each other and the vocals rightfully so. I love Taerae's soulful vocal tone and Hao's soft vocals (Hanbin and Gunwook has some pretty cool vocal moments), and they should be up there with the iconic male main vocalists of the previous generations!
I think the omission of renowned powerhouse groups like Mamamoo makes sense. We don’t need to talk about vocal competence in Gen 2. We know what they’re capable of. It’s Gen 4, with its general focus on dance and performance, that benefits from a discussion of vocal competence. I think this was a very balanced and effective video essay!
That's why, I think ITZY sets the standard for nowadays groups. At the very least those newer groups should have stability (practiced please) for all members to perform live, not just having 1-2 good vocalist and the rest members are meh...
honestly with the clips you showed i wouldnt even use the word weak for itzy,, imo at worst I would just say solid. They all have a baseline where they can competently sing their songs (we don't talk about cheshire thats just unfair) and there are no obvious holes. Weak I would describe members of groups where singing isnt their strong suit and have few parts because of it
Aespa are amazing for real. Their voices compliment each other a lot. Their music is amazing as well. For example, I love Nmixx's vocals but I can't stand their music.
Same. I like them, but none of their current releases wows me. Though, I don't put them out of consideration because of their talents and skills. What I do focus on is their individual performances or covers. Maybe I just haven't found that song that gets me lol
Nmixx is the next level group currently in kpop, just because they can all sing like superior sm idols and still dance like superior jyp idols at the same time is crazy. Aespa fans might get upset but I’ve been here since their debut and yes they didn’t get much opportunity to showcase their live vocals just like any other sm groups until recently, but their dance is not on par with Nmixx choreos. The belting/ vocal technique winter and ningning uses might not be able to maintain itself if you add in hardcore dancing that involves being in air or twisting while in transition for Nmixx. Jype has created a hybrid breed in kpop, singers and dancers seem to clash so much due to breathing but somehow it doesn’t affect Nmixx at all, not even 1 member 😂 I am looking forward to bm though but if they go the regular yg route, the dungeon strategy then we won’t be able to get too much live contents as well, but their new performance video is nice, hopefully they drop the 2ne1 or bp style and focus on that because it suits them so much. And let Teddy worry the true successor of that yg gg style. I can only think of one way to be on par if not beat Nmixx, you gotta have a full group 5+ members to sing like sm, rap like yg and dance like jyp then maybe that’s the ultimate ssr group in kpop 🤣🤣🤣 I only mention 5+ members because having less members really limit the choreography you can have. I’ve always felt dancing is lacking with bp and aespa and it’s greatly because the variation is just too limited, even with Itzy recently not having Lia active is lacking a bit for me even with 4 very very good dancers.
Getting 6/7 good singers + dancers in one group will always be harder and more impressive than 4. Doesn't take anything away from KioL, Aespa and others, they are still great, but Nmixx is just a complete shock that they exist that talented. And the fact that each one of them is improving constantly (when others leave training behind after debut) shows their passion and drive. They are a tough group to beat.
Please do consider that having only 4 members means each members have longer lines to sing than 7 members. Longer lines to sing means less rest time before another line comes in a 3-minute song. And where they can get that sufficient rest before singing another line is in the intensity of the choreography. I also notice that in kpop in general. Groups with more members have more intense choreography than that of less members.
They've sung the entirety of party o'clock as 4, and done covers as units of 3. Nmixx's skills are fleshed out enough that they could handle the level of choreo they do as a group of 4 and still sing live. Its about the individuals themselves, not the song or how much they have to sing.@@kpopstertube3563
@@A_Comfy_Blanket right, not taking away the talent and skills from any less than 5 members group, but it’s just a fact that dance wise they are very limited so it can’t compete with 5+ members group. That’s why I said at the end of my comment to clarify.
@@kpopstertube3563 sure but that also depends on line distribution, for the rappers even if they have less or more members doesn’t really matter because they don’t sing much either way. For vocals they will have to hard carry the rest of the group. But many larger member groups will also give a lot of lines to the main vocals. Let’s say Wendy basically hard carry the vocals even though they do have more than 4 members. So it really depends, but like you said dances are just more complex for larger groups and that’s just a fact because there’s more variations. Again, I’m just replying to clarify I’m not saying 4 members group of less talented or skillful.
I'd really like if IVE was also mentioned here tbh- In terms of technique they are far from Aespa or Nmixx but thier live singing is impressive Their vocals during that I AM stages & encores , Royal , Off the record , My satisfaction , Next page , Shine with me , HEYA performances ate
I think the reason why he puts ITZY, aespa and NMIXX only in this video is to highlight the WEAK, MID AND BEST. ypu can even tell by the thumbnail he put ning2 as talent and lily as skilled which means ning2 has talent (but in singing only) while skilled can be called as like a all rounder meaning: ITZY = dance, rap group but weak in vocal aespa = vocal, rap group but weak in dance NMIXX = exceed in all categories
With Kpop, I'm looking for great, dynamic performances; confidence when singing live; and fleshed out concepts. I don't expect many groups to be powerhouse vocalists like Nmixx, Aespa or Mamamoo because not every group needs that (and I think it makes groups stand out more when they have different strengths like being vocal-based, rap-based, or performance-based). So to me, unpopular opinion, but Itzy is the standard for what the average Kpop group should be. They're great performers who sing live, and I like their music and concepts. With Kpop, and pop in general, you don't have to be the best vocalist ever, but if you can't confidently sing live, why are you a singer? The problem is that, at some point, the pop music industry prioritized choreography and visuals over competent live singing. And that's absolutely unacceptable. 💯
itzy and nmixx choreography or both intricate and jumpy, yet they both don't undermine vocally fulfilling their performances. that gives me hope for these new gens.
I think it’s interesting that no one really mentions Gidle in the 4th gen vocals discourse. Although they might not be on the same vocal level as Aespa or Nmixx, I think they’re still solid vocalists. What’s cool about them is that all their voices have very unique, distinct vocal colours. Minnie has one of the most insane vocal colours ever in Kpop, and so does Yuqi. It’s quite rare that all the members have unique voices that are very distinguishable, and I think that in itself is very impressive. Also Miyeon and Soyeon are very strong vocalists that I think hold a candle to the other main vocalists of the 4th gen!
To point out one thing, all Jyp girl groups CAN SING.. and even if there performing hard choreo, there still stable, w/out sounding out of breath.. And to Source, this is how to prove that lesserafim can sing.. let them do a practice vid singing live w/out any music..
10:35 to 10:43 uh I know you probably didn’t say this with bad intentions but it sounds so bad bc aespa has already sang many times live while dancing and all of them sound good, obviously they have less material and less opportunities to show it bc of their label but that not takes away how good their sound while dancing

There should be ZeroBaseOne among the most competent vocal groups here. They are hands down among the best ones, most of the other members are able to hold their own voices as well.
their cover of 'run run' yesterday blew me away the harmonies were so good... they're good at harmonizing with each other (like in start over, phonecert, their k909 appearances, all the taerae show episodes)
One of the reasons why NMIXX doesn't get high expectations, it's because JYP was too boasting about them. JYP promoted the group as all visuals, all main dancers, all main vocalists, all everything. But when I saw their MV debut, honestly, they aren't what JYP promoted. It destroyed their reputation instantly especially their debut song didn't get accepted well.
If you ever look into another boy group, I’m curious about your opinion on Oneus. They’re a junior of Mamamoo and under the same company as Purple Kiss. Personally, I think they have great vocals particularly Seoho, Keonhee, and Leedo (as they do most of the singing) but would love to hear your opinion as well!! 🤍

I think we can put the issue of a group's vocal level of performance in four stages:
In some cases they may surprise you. itzy can be at this level, as can IVE in some cases; stayc and, perhaps, gidle
Couldn’t agree more.

Her pre-chorus in Dash is literally insane
i love clips from nmixx's lives when they sing a lot of different songs and i know their covers will be amazing cause their tones, their skills are just fantastic. and it's only the beginning of their career... they're so impressive
Everyone in aespa have good vocal control and technique they are very considerate of each others vocal color, they're so good at blending that they're live even sound like the recording version, no muffled or breathing sounds, so clean. I love aespa's encore stages, they are so stable.
this channel has been hating aespa since his vocal ranking complained by many people.
I don't listen much to Aespa but they're so good despite debuting during the covid period and not singing live much back then. Giselle the main rapper can easily outsing many lead and main 4th gen singers.
yes. some ppl just dont get it that most sm artists has their own individual singing skills. even the rap and dance lines are impressive and skilled enough in singing. they may not be as strong as their members, but they can easily be at the same level, and even better than most lead vocalists out there
I don't get why Lia gets the most bashed for her vocals in ITZY
Like yes , Itzy as a whole are vocally weak but Lia is still the most developed so she should be the last one in Itzy to be get bashed for her vocals coz the other 4 members are weaker than her
She's the main vocalist and she doesn't exactly specialize in anything else, so there will be more focus on her vocals and the areas she lacks in.
This
Nmixx would honestly be perfect for Cheshire's difficulty
@@Robalexe Tbh it may have sounded just as good if the key were lowered a bit.

lia adds so much flavor to itzy's music. i really hope she comes back soon, but i'm glad she's resting and taking her time.

Why wouldn't mamamoo be included in this list? Genuine question

Yay I just refreshed youtube and the video popped up :D
Seconded!!
@@JCearpublic only voted for visuals as usual. if they wanted vocal then jay wouldve debut
@@flyaia pls, Zhang Hao and Taerae are way better than him, and also in finals Hui and Seungeon were better than him too
Oh My Girl is up there tbh. 4 out of 6 members hold their own great.
My favorite singers for 4th gen is no rather than Aespa, Versatility, precision indeed
Please talk about every active kpop group who can carry them self despite not being best vocalist.
honestly with the clips you showed i wouldnt even use the word weak for itzy,, imo at worst I would just say solid. They all have a baseline where they can competently sing their songs (we don't talk about cheshire thats just unfair) and there are no obvious holes. Weak I would describe members of groups where singing isnt their strong suit and have few parts because of it
hope that in the future you will include kiss of life! i really recommend checking out their sixth sense cover. such a talented group.
I'd put StayC in the functional tier too. They're not great vocalists but are able to pull off their parts live.
They're in the Itzy category basically
its a great day every time aint no other fan uploads
Aespa are amazing for real. Their voices compliment each other a lot. Their music is amazing as well. For example, I love Nmixx's vocals but I can't stand their music.
Babe it's 2024 why are you still stuck in O.O era? Nmixx has lots of bop 😮💨
Bruhh .....Nmixx has lots of banger & easy listening. specially their bside but Squ4d didnt promote them to much
Same. I like them, but none of their current releases wows me. Though, I don't put them out of consideration because of their talents and skills. What I do focus on is their individual performances or covers. Maybe I just haven't found that song that gets me lol
I also feel the same about their songs, but give their bside "Passionfruit" a listen, it's easy to listen to and is nicely written 🥰🩷
@@BaeYeonSae.only High note doesn’t mean bop
Lol
Their vocal is good but their music sucks
Full of High note
I'd really like if IVE was also mentioned here tbh- In terms of technique they are far from Aespa or Nmixx but thier live singing is impressive
Their vocals during that I AM stages & encores , Royal , Off the record , My satisfaction , Next page , Shine with me , HEYA performances ate
yes their vocals have improved so much since debut
They are improved, but it's not that level...
I think the reason why he puts ITZY, aespa and NMIXX only in this video is to highlight the WEAK, MID AND BEST. ypu can even tell by the thumbnail he put ning2 as talent and lily as skilled which means ning2 has talent (but in singing only) while skilled can be called as like a all rounder meaning:
ITZY = dance, rap group but weak in vocal
aespa = vocal, rap group but weak in dance
NMIXX = exceed in all categories
they have very cute singing voices compared to those three. They have something softer that really compliments their songs
Leeseo’s prechoruses in accendio are honestly such a flex after the lipsync incident
For my opinion jyp has the best vocalist and stability training
Can you do one for boy groups..from the ones ive heard, SEVENTEEN,EXO,Shinee, btob, they have strong vocalists who ace at live singing
Please someday talk about the second generation vocalists
Sabemos vc é considerado um bom vocalista quando é capaz de a acompanhar a nossa DIVA AILEE
Thanks for the video it was really interesting and highlights the talented groups we have in kpop !❤
Ma Boy, sorry that your voice took a bad hit, I hope you'll recover soon, and thanks for the great video 🥰
Please do a Riize video. they are the 5 gen vocal beasts
Really no. In 5th gen BM and KiOf really vocal beasts.
We need more boy group recognition! I wish he can cover Sohee and Anton's vocal tone in a video in the future
@@kira_legranRiize better than both bffr 😂 gg stan bias
This video is full of talent 🔝🔝🔝
To point out one thing, all Jyp girl groups CAN SING.. and even if there performing hard choreo, there still stable, w/out sounding out of breath..
And to Source, this is how to prove that lesserafim can sing.. let them do a practice vid singing live w/out any music..
10:35 to 10:43 uh I know you probably didn’t say this with bad intentions but it sounds so bad bc aespa has already sang many times live while dancing and all of them sound good, obviously they have less material and less opportunities to show it bc of their label but that not takes away how good their sound while dancing
they still have more non-live performance than live to-date. You're right about having less opportunities to show it off though.
@@topzki47 does it even matter, most of it is on music shows. they've shown enough live performance that atp if they lipsync on a performance it doesn't even matter anymore, they've already proven themselves plenty of times
@@topzki47 I mean…that’s why I said that even when they don’t have as much as nmixx their material is still good enough to not say “nmixx is apart of them bc they sing good while dancing” when aespa can do it and with good quality in both even with 4 members
@@topzki47 theyve already proven themselves several times despite being overworked to the core so..
@@paledangels No it doesn't matter anymore, but the old sentiment is still there and unless they perform live as Frequent as Nmixx people will not catch on their live prowess as quick. As long aespa continues what they are doing then there is nothing to worry about. By the way im not denying their talent i know they have it.

Aespa and Itzy its two is my favorite groups in kpop right now. And i always known, they can sing, and they doing good
One of the reasons why NMIXX doesn't get high expectations, it's because JYP was too boasting about them. JYP promoted the group as all visuals, all main dancers, all main vocalists, all everything. But when I saw their MV debut, honestly, they aren't what JYP promoted. It destroyed their reputation instantly especially their debut song didn't get accepted well.
JYP really outdid himself with NMIXX, they're amazing
I agree with everything you said in this clip. WOW
Who would want to let their idols to sing in music shows for a mere 36 dollars 😂 even their vocal lessons cause more than that HAAHAHHA
NMIXX is a fresh air in K-pop. Special mention: aespa
Aespa only lip syncs on music show. They always sing lives on paid performance like university festival, concert
Can you analyze Haewon with Ai lee
Aespa is the favorite👑👑👑
If you ever look into another boy group, I’m curious about your opinion on Oneus. They’re a junior of Mamamoo and under the same company as Purple Kiss.
Personally, I think they have great vocals particularly Seoho, Keonhee, and Leedo (as they do most of the singing) but would love to hear your opinion as well!! 🤍
If you put live stages of Aespa it would be better they had a ton from this year alone but okay
I wanna see NMIXX live now
