My wife picked this watch up for me while visiting relatives in London. The only variation I could find in the US had diamond baguettes on the hour markers-i wanted the watch without diamonds which was a limited edition at the time. Since then, the watch has been one of my favorites. I purchased 2 other Pateks after that which pretty much ended my watch buying career. The price for these Pateks is far beyond what I ever dreamed I would pay for a watch (and it is not close to the Patek high end watches). I have made some stupid purchases of various things in my life usually followed by buyer’s remorse. I can honestly say I have never regretted buying the 3 Pateks. They lived up to what I expected of a watch of their pedigree.
This exact model is one of my favorite contemporary Patek’s.
Text book definition of a modern dress watch. practically perfect in every way. I wish I were sophisticated enough to wear this.
It’s not perfect, the moon phase, date and hands look too superimposed on top of one another, they could’ve used another movement and sacrificed a few millimeters on the lug size to make it 39mm and separate each feature. You can’t even see some of the numbers

Beautiful watch. Can we call this the original “Zuratsu polishing!” I’m a sucker for a moon phase. Always wanted an annual calendar. That color scheme is simply beautiful.
