Say what you want about MC Hammer. I've had the opportunity to see him perform 3 times. He never disappoints. At one of the concerts in Baton Rouge he performed for almost 3 hours straight. I must admit he puts on the best performance of any of the other concerts I've attended.
I was with MC in the Navy. Just he and I on the night shift, '83/'84. Almost every night was showtime! Lol.

Hammer is California. I just watched a documentary on Netflix and one of them focused on California. They interviewed the founder of the pop lock and robot. And, that Hammer was one of the kids who would dance and mimic the moves so, Hammer has been at his craft since a child on the streets of LA. Those of us no where near the Bay or Cali had no idea what his reputation was. I do know that when his first video dropped with his dancers, 357 it was like the world stopped. That was the livest shyt on TV ever and afterward there was a bidding war to get him signed.
