Hank Marvin the greatest guitarist of the 1960s and beyond thank you for the memories 81 years shortly and your music still touches the heart of millions I'm sure
Nice to see Hank in good condition. I have play in the 60th many Shadowtunes in a Band and we had a wonderful time. I play the old Shadowtunes almost every day. Thank You Mr. Marvin for the good Vibrations and Inspiration all over the Years.
In the often murky world of the music industry, here’s a man who was at the very forefront of rock n roll and yet all these years still looks and sounds fantastic. Hank Marvin manages to balance his religious beliefs being a Jehovah’s Witness and yet stay cool and happy in the music business. No wonder he’s so well thought of by all the greats?
Hank B Marvin is my guitar heroe since i was 14 old ( i'm 69 ! ) It is the Master of instrumental guitar .....i love your video and i suscribe .Thank's
Thank you doesn’t go far enough for all the music that Mr.Marvin has done in my life time, which has inspired my playing of the guitar for over 30 years plus. I sit down for hours copying his sounds.
Even though this might be 5 or 6 years ago... hang on a sec. Hank was born 1941, so he's 74 here I guess. Started playing music seriously at about 15 if I'm not mistaking? Dang 60 years, and he still looks full of enthousiasm about making and creating music even in the same kind of style. Still "Dance On", still making a laugh and typical British Hank B. Marvin jokes, knows exactly what he's doing, looks rather 54 than 74, full of energy. I've always respected this man a huge lot (as well as the other Shads but ok). Makes an almost cynical joke "applauding for myself haha"... Well Hank; you can afford yourself to do that! Just keep Hankin' on that way! I never really believed in Superman, but Hank Marvin comes close, allthough he looks a bit different than what you'd except from Superman, He's certainly a hero, to me at least! Thanks for this amazingly interesting video....
Went to a similar concert around then. Having played in a group in the 60s who originally played a lot of Shadows numbers it was fabulous to meet and chat with him and the others after the show, he was charming, friendly and humorous, lovely guy, a privilege to meet your guitar hero, just like he is on this video 😁
An interesting view of the recording process, but of special interest is that HBM is the subject of this film. It's great to see a senior of almost eighty enjoying life as if he were just half his age.
When I was a very young lad Mr Marvin was the coolest guitar player ever. I'd watch him on Thank Your Lucky Stars, The Six-Five Special and Top of the Pops, solo, with The Shadows and as leader of Cliff's backing band and think "I wish I could be like Hank B. Marvin!" I wished and wished as hard as a young boy could and after 5 long years my wish came true! I got my first pair of thick-rimmed glasses.....! Be careful, or at least specific, about what you wish for. BTW. I also have a 9" statuette of Jerry Lee Lewis for sale if anyone's interested...
I don't see anyone's mentioned this, but the tune finally came to me. Isn't this the Baby Elephant Walk song or part of it? And there is something else in the beginning I can't put my finger on. It'll come to me if I keep replaying this. Ah, the theme from Peter Gunn. I got smart and looked up the album. Some great stuff on there!!
Thank you so much for 500 subscribers! I'm very happy to reach such a big number of followers.
Cheers,

How long before somebody posts a nasty anti-JW hate message? I hope not.

I saw Hank live in the year 2000, Marvin at the movies era. I was 15. Ben Marvin also played alongside him. Great show.

This ‘Enginear’ is a very patient man! Who is the audio engineer, I must have missed his name ?

Hank surely does not come across like a 79 year old!
