I mean why everyone gets crazy about that. Famous people have been doing that for ever and she did mentioned her in other interviews and on IG and the ghost writer has most definitely sign a contract knowing she wouldn’t get her name on the book - she would be a ghost writer essentially. People are free to be ghost writers if they want 😅
Whilst the ideas may be hers, the credit of writing the actual book should really go to the ghostwriter Katherine McGurl - another example of a celebrity slapping their name on the cover of a book whilst behind the scenes someone else is burning the midnight oil.
Whilst it’s a touching tribute to her Nan and Bethnal Green, a couple of ideas and a base concept doesn’t make you the author.

Having first seen her in Stranger Things, thought she was American, due to her Indiana accent being that good.
She didn’t have an Indiana accent….it was a straight, average rhotic American accent. Also, the character 11 didn’t grow up in Indiana. She grew up in an underground facility with scientists from around the world.
I love her energy. She is a positive, joyful, loving, and talented girl 💖💖. Wish more great things for her in life 💖💖.

I’m not saying she shouldn’t have been more transparent about the ghostwriter…. But wait until folks find out she also doesn’t mix and formulate her own cosmetics 🙈😂 celebrities leverage their ideas and images for projects all the time. Millie isn’t the first and won’t be the last. It’s great to encourage transparency, but I think we should hold other older celebrities accountable as well!
