I've learned I need to love what I'm doing to do it. I enjoy graphic design,, is it ok that niche down per list instead of the whole shop being a specific niche? Otherwise I'll be forced to have multiple shops.

It's totally up to you lovely but I always personally recommend keeping your shop cohesive and clear about who your target audience is!
Unfortunately, Etsy doesn't separate your shop categories up very well on your Etsy shop front page, so you can see ALL of the listings you have when someone visits your shop.
That can cause it to look a little confusing and overwhelming for a visitor, if you're offering multiple different styles and niches under one Etsy shop roof.
But if you can make all of your designs feel cohesive and attractive to your target audience via a common thread that's in all your designs (e.g. all minimalist style, all feature bold colors, all include watercolor designs in a certain way, all about a certain topic, etc)...
Then you can use sections to help break it up and make it easier for your audience to find your 'different types' of art printables in your shop.
I hope that helps and makes sense a little lovely 😀💕

Great tips and advice..is it possible to do a video on how you create the photos that display your artwork? I have used Placeit where you can access different types of mockups for your products as well as videos but by looking at some of the way that people display their works I was wondering what people used and is there a free platform people can access??

Hi lovely. I usually use Canva to create mockup photos for my digital products.
You can also use Photoshop if you want to go more in-depth with mockups and a little more technical...
But I like to use Canva simply because then I can create my digital products and imagery all on one platform rather than needing to pay for two.
I talk a little bit about how I create my mockups using Canva in this video ruclips.net/video/H0bTrtg5sw4/видео.html
Although the video is a little bit older, I still use the same principles to create my mockup images now.
I simply purchase my mockup images on platforms like Creative Market or Etsy.
And then insert my art print design over it so it looks as though it's part of the picture.
It's not as skilled or technical as I can do using Photoshop smart objects and layers but it's much quicker, simpler, and cheaper using Canva.
So it's whatever works best for you to give you the listing image result you want.
I think I talk about how I easily create my Art Printable Mockups using Canva about 3 minutes into the video I linked in the message.
I hope it helps lovely but let me know if you need any more support 😀💕

Thanks for a great video, I feel encouraged as I explore my options for an Etsy Shop. I was thinking about using quotes in my art work, but I am getting a bit worried about copyright... I have not found anything about using quotes in general on art you sell. Do you have any knowledge and advise in this area? What is okay to use, what is not?

    • @Evaknowsoffice
      @Evaknowsoffice  Год назад +1

Hi lovely. This is a question so many people ask me so I think I'm going to hopefully try and talk about it a little bit in a video soon.
I'm not a legal expert and in reality most small business owners aren't legal experts either lol, yet we still need to know what quotes and graphics are safe to use in our products.
So hopefully my talking about where I source my business assets and how I figure out what quotes are safe to use and what resources I use might be helpful to other small online business owners 😀💕
In short, though, there are many quotes that are protected and it's definitely not as simple as just adding any quote to a print to sell it.
I've made that mistake in the past and learned my lesson lol. If you find a quote you want to use you'll need to ensure it has no copyright or Trademark strikes on it before you use it.
The best choice is to use your own quote and not another, or to ensure the quote is within the Creative Commons and not copyright protected.

I CREATED DIGITAL PRODUCTS POSTED IT BUT NO SALES YET ,I THINK I AM MAKING SOME MISTAKES WHILE LISTING THEM ON ETSY 🙄🙄🙄

    • @Evaknowsoffice

      Hi lovely.
Yes, there are definitely steps you need to take to ensure that you get your audience over the 'sales hurdle' in your shop so they go on to PURCHASE your digital products.
It's never as simple as just putting them on Etsy in truth, and there are definitely elements you need to include in your Etsy shop to help it make sales! 😀💕
I have an online course that I created to help fellow creators learn step-by-step how to put their Etsy shop together and create high-quality art printables that will sell.
There is no pressure for you to purchase or anything but I just thought I'd let you know about it in case you wanted to check it out...
It's called The Art Printables On Etsy Course, and I will leave a link to it here - bit.ly/artprintablesonetsywaitinglist
It will be opening again on the 1st of January with a big discount!
But besides that always feel free to let me know if you have any specific questions about creating your Etsy shop lovely?
I know how confusing and difficult it can feel to get off the starting block and make sales!
So I'm always happy to help fellow digital product creators to get up and running as much as I can. 😀💕

my art is very goth and dark but I really don't think I have much of an audience for that sadly.

    • @Evaknowsoffice
      @Evaknowsoffice  Год назад +2

Hi Rachel. I know it can sometimes be scary to put your artwork out there but there are many people in the world who will most likely connect with what you do.
The trick is to know where to find your audience so you can start sharing your designs with them. It's a learning curve but if you're willing to find your audience, you can do it. 😀💕
