I’m so happy you are back in the studio. I’ve missed watching your kiln unloads, and also you’re straight to the point thoughts on the glazes. I also love how you plunk the pots down and get the next surprise out of the kiln. The first big bowl was a stunner, and the last big bowl was close to perfection The inside looked like a flower. I’m glad for you that you no longer have to use the cane, it’s such a pain isn’t it? Thank you again, and hopefully see you soon.
Thank you Sally, us potter’s always have a excitement and dread opening a glaze firing 😆 But you have some great successful lovely pieces to be very proud of. I teach a few people a week and have had a few pieces with pin holing, so I’m going to re~fire them 🤞
I’m glad you’re doing well Sally! I also love Seaspray, although I haven’t used it in a while, I should get it again! Your large bowls are beautiful and I love the texture you used! Thanks for sharing!❤
Glad to see you made it through your surgery! Thank you for the great kiln opening. I particularly like the last big bowl! Also, I love the black clay mugs with the Chun Blue! Beautiful! 😂
@SallyRoperPottery I'd love to.see results! I have not used that clay but it's very pretty! If you want to... try textured turquoise (amaco) cause it's beautiful on darker brown clay!
Happy to see you back, Sally! Glad you're on the mend and back at the wheel. Nice kiln load. Love the soup mugs and bowls. Take it easy on the hip! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful pieces with us! I’m surprised how much white you got on that last bowl! Happy Easter & take care of that new hip!
Soooo good to see you!! I love everything!! So awesome to see your first handbuilt mug!!! I so love your big bowls!! It’s hard to see you limping. I pray you heal quickly and aren’t in pain!!
Sally so good to see you and to know that you are doing well. I watched a video of yours from last November where you had made a couple of beautiful lamps for 2 customers and mugs for a resort out of your very dark brown/black clay. My question for you, on the mugs you put B-mix slip on the inside of the mugs, did you make the slip yourself? Absolutely wonderful pieces and take good care.
Glad your back. I saw you won something on clayshare con. You mentioned the cobble stone was thick. I beleave that is why to glaze crawled. Espicaly on the big bowl. Love your videos. I am jealous of your location as it's 35°f /1°c here in detroit. Rest your hip. I noticed the limp. You'll get there soon. Thanks again
So glad your surgery went well! Love your videos and my local supplier is now carrying some opulence glazes! so I’ll be trying them soon because I love how they come out for you!
I was wondering what you've been up to. Hopefully your new hip will enable you to do lots of new pottery! Love the handbuilt mugs - they turned out great!
Yay!! I’m glad to hear you’re on the mend!! Nice kiln opening! Too bad about the problems with antique iron, boo. Id add more glaze and refire for sure! Your handbuilt mugs were soooo nice! Love that roller. I really have to get that sea spray 😍…I have 391 and struggle with it! Love that idea of adding slip to the inside! Did you say Chun Plum was the glaze? It’s so blue?? Love them!!! Thanks for sharing!! Cheers
So glad you are back and obviously healing well. I love your last bowl. ❤ Could you please tell me how much clay you used on that? It’s really the perfect size!
Oh Sally! SO HAPPY to see you back, and up and around! didnt know about the surgery, but it seems to have worked its charms! Keep your strength up but DO NOT push yourself too hard. Us "gorgeous senior ladies" (Im right there with you) have to pace ourselves which is NOT saying that we're taking it down the slow road, but remember that turtle! (beginning of 2024 seemed rough on alot of us...I came down with the gout in of all places-my shoulders (its SO HORRIBLE) so I couldnt do anything (no wheel, no hand building, nothing!) anyhoo...then I was just diagnosed with PRA as well as RA but the meds my Dr put me on are miracle workers. So just stay strong, you have many many many many followers and we want to see you back AND HEALTHY most of all! Take care, your fan from Holmdel, New Jersey USA ;-)
Hey sally so nice to see yr smiling face! Ive attempted a couple of but carved bowls in my unloads so Thankyou for the inspiration! Could I ask how much clay u would use for that last gorgeous bowl size please? Nat mud magic xx
Oh Sally, so nice to see you. Always enjoy your videos. So many beautiful items. Keep healing.
Glad you’re doing well and able to get back to pottery again. I’ve missed your videos.

Welcome back. Glad your surgery went well.
Especially love the last bowl. As well as the larger mugs.
The pattern and gkaze on the hand buikts are wonderful too!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful combinations Sally.
You are so welcome
Glad to see you are back! Especially love the soup mugs and the big bowl at the end.
My favourites too.
Welcome back! I’ve missed your videos. I’m glad to hear you’re recovering so well❣️ This was a great opening and your hand built mugs were beautiful.
I’m glad you’re doing well Sally! I also love Seaspray, although I haven’t used it in a while, I should get it again! Your large bowls are beautiful and I love the texture you used! Thanks for sharing!❤
Wishing you a quick mend. Love your large bowls. I love Jens Chung Blue it is lovely on darker clay bodies.
Jess Chun Blue seems to be the only glaze I like on this dark clay. Opulence dipping glazes are NOT suited for it. Will try some other options.
I've missed you. So glad to see you back in good health and good spirits.
Glad to see you made it through your surgery! Thank you for the great kiln opening. I particularly like the last big bowl! Also, I love the black clay mugs with the Chun Blue! Beautiful! 😂
Chun blue is the only glaze I have consistent results using 391 clay. I need to try some of my Amaco brush on glazes,
@SallyRoperPottery I'd love to.see results! I have not used that clay but it's very pretty! If you want to... try textured turquoise (amaco) cause it's beautiful on darker brown clay!
Nice to see you back. Glad you are recovering well. Loving that last bowl too. See you again soon and enjoy your Easter.
Thanks so much
So glad your doing well
Happy to see you back, Sally! Glad you're on the mend and back at the wheel. Nice kiln load. Love the soup mugs and bowls. Take it easy on the hip! Thanks for sharing.

Glad your back and doing well.
Hello sally from florida beautiful pottery as always. Thank you for sharing with us. Glad everything went well with your surgery. Speedy recovery
how kind ,,, thanks
Thank you for sharing these beautiful pieces with us! I’m surprised how much white you got on that last bowl! Happy Easter & take care of that new hip!
Thank you so much!
Yup, just a little crawling on the Antique Iron, refiring will take care of it. Great kiln unloading, congratulations.
Re firing has fixed it in the past. So definitely will do that.
Happy to see you. I've missed you. Happy you're back.
Oh thank you!
Glad your back
Missed you from Canada
Would love to see you throw the tall bowl. That blue rutile and seaweed is beautiful!
Great suggestion! I will be happy to video my next attempt...
Love to see some throwing videos 😊
Soooo good to see you!! I love everything!! So awesome to see your first handbuilt mug!!! I so love your big bowls!! It’s hard to see you limping. I pray you heal quickly and aren’t in pain!!
No pain at all, my surgeon made sure of that. Thanks for the compliments.
Glad you're back. But do take care of yourself.

yes, Cobblestone way too thick, will thin it down some and try again...
So glad your surgery went well! Love your videos and my local supplier is now carrying some opulence glazes! so I’ll be trying them soon because I love how they come out for you!
Sea Spray, Egg Shell are my go - to favourites. In fact, I like all of the reduction look glazes (600 series). Have fun
Afternoon from Arkansas! Sheri McCullah
Nice to see you back!
Hey, thanks!
I was wondering what you've been up to. Hopefully your new hip will enable you to do lots of new pottery! Love the handbuilt mugs - they turned out great!
TY. I teach a student how to do it so thought I might give it a try myself... I will make more
Beautiful work. Loved the bowls and the mugs was so stunning. Wishing you a quick recovery ❤
My first crack at a hand built mug. I taught a student how to do it so figured I might as well make one myself

I corrected glaze name on 391. It is Jess Chun Blue from Clayscapes pottery. I too struggle with 391, have a bunch to use up then never again.
So glad you’re back! Wonder where you were. Take care and heal well!
Thank you!
Nice to see you back!
TY Audrey. Next week will be all-telling as I return to the wheel with no restrictions.
@@SallyRoperPottery Exciting! I hope it goes well! Have fun!
Will keep you in prayer
All is good, Doc happy with progress. thanks.
So glad you are back and obviously healing well. I love your last bowl. ❤ Could you please tell me how much clay you used on that? It’s really the perfect size!
I used about 5lb 8 oz BMix 5. I threw it to 14 x 6 1/2 - with 12% shrinkage after glaze fire.

My large bowls are made with about 5 1/2 lbs of clay. Thrown to 14” x 7” I should do a video on making the bowl…..
@@SallyRoperPotteryyes please!! I love throwing large but reeeeally struggle to get the clay up from the bottom n end up trimming a lot off.
I was wondering yesterday why I have not seen any videos coming through
Yup, everything in its time.
Hi first time watching your video. But have you ever had anyone say that you favor Jamie Lee Curtis. I am not kidding you.
Hi Dianna, - I get the JLC everywhere I go. Hope you subscribe and continue watching....
Do you have a store?
I do not. I work out of my home and sell privately.
