@@JayOFM they'd have to get rid of there crunch on lootboxes aka packs and move it onto console to be anywhere near the other top MMO's like WoW, final fantasy, etc.
As someone who Play's Fire, I never knew until it happened that this is what I wanted fire to be like. Although I don't do PVP, I will admit that Fires specialty in DOT's was always its main appeal, but most spells before really only gave one per hit, which to be fair, was enough, kinda like a cherry on top of an ice-cream-sundae. this however feels like an absolute powertrip for me, as well as any fire player. It just downright euphoric using spells that casually add about SIX TO SEVEN DOT'S PER SPELL and just light whoever poor unfortunate soul your fighting like your a damn D&D wizard with "Fireball" by Pitbull as your ringtone. Combine that with the other sprinkles of absolute chaos fire can do like Detonate (which the original spell was a fun concept, but utter garbage that nobody uses, so I'm happy seeing other spells like firecat making it a bit more of a viable strategy) and traps and honestly I like where Fire's going as of now.
Edit frost giant Path A. Remove stun, add 100 base damage. Add 10 for each subsequent upgrade. NOBODY wants the stun over damage. The bottom path is split damage, so it isnt an improvement.
Also, that kind of goes directly against what they are trying to accomplish this update. Adding damage and removing all utility is what they got rid of all 7 pip spells that used to do just straight damage. Including Power Nova.
@@tratanlightbreaker6029Which is bullshit, Storm 7 pip aoe does 690 damage and stuns… And now the storm aoe became the best in the game, with more increased damage and the chance for a 70% blade. They really love storm Huh.
@cal3b1900 they never got rid of a utility for more damage. He wants to remove stun for more damage, which isn't what they are going for. Obviously, I feel like I shouldn't have to say the obvious. He gets more damage with the top path as it is anyway if he upgrades it. If I didn't know any better, he just wanted to hit like a storm as an ice.
I don't think people realize how busted fire is... You CANNOT prevent the OTs from stacking. use stormzillas and spinys and levies as much as u want, u CANNOT stop the stack and it WILL lead to a Scion. These OTs are SIX rounds long. I can gain TWELVE pips before they expire. Not to mention, as I said on yesterday's video, if you have max pips: use link -> rain of fire (+pip conserve, which fire does cuz most of their spells r odd-pips) -> scion, you CANNOT stop it because you will have 5 total overtimes on you so you have to Spiny EXCLUSIVELY to stop it. Furthermore, if you don't, I can get enough pips for ANOTHER one before the original dots expire...You cannot shield yourself out of this either, they're SIX rounds long...and if you do shield, I'll just elf and get 2 more dots on you... The only school that has a possible chance against fire is storm and that's it. Levy is extremely expensive and is a complete waste of 8 pips if you don't have the dmg that comes with it, ON TOP OF the fire players almost certainly having a shield up, ON TOP of the accuracy demand that storm has, I just don't see people carrying it. That goes for all 7-10 rank spells for that matter. All of these spells are hardcore counters against very specific matchups except for fire because it sets itself up. Going against anyone that doesn't use dots immediately means that ur dot counters r garbage in your hand...kraken always had a purpose because at such a cheap price, removing even 1 dot was good enough and having the threat of it prevented a lot of dot plays. Building on that last part, the BIGGEST point of all - the fire player is the one that determines when and how many dots will be put on the opponent. Obviously I wouldn't rain of fire when you have 8-10 pips...90% of the other schools rely on your opponent to blunder in order to punish them. Not fire. I setup my own overtimes to buff my own spells. YOU rely on ME to shield/weakness/trap/blade in order to do anything. And it's not like I need any buffs, I can just bubble and aura and burn you to a crisp with 200 dmg n 70 pierce. Kraken is also gone, you gotta invest an additional pip now to put some weaknesses on me and guess what fire's secondary school is - myth, a weakness countering school. I think pip management is going to be more important than ever before and would be EXTREMELY surprised if fire isn't a top 2 if not a top 1 school.
I don't think the stack is as big of a deal until we see how other schools interact with fire. Myth is the primary candidate. Myth and fire spells go hand in hand damage wise. Myth without knowing their spell changes does better at burst damage and some of these spells work with live realm myth very well like there efreet and firedragon. Based on how they are doing OTs. Can fire out pace a myth that doesn't trap? Because OT counters are likely in the Life school seeing everyone can't just kraken OT's away anymore. Myth can run death Pirate to counter heals. THey would just need to run sharpshot for 90% death accuracy which isn't bad if you have to sacrifice something. Fires that go in life as secondary will have access to more spells options a rain of fire would be easier to use while being able to counter OTs since there more fragile then a myth.
@@ziffiny Maybe, who really knows. But if fire does become as top tier as I feel it should be and OT counters become a necessity to carry, I feel like myth would go down with them but even harder because of the deferred OTs, which are also 6 rounds long so you can gain all the pips necessary to counter a whole basilisk like it never happened. Also, if you're going to invest so heavily into stopping a single link (with a spell that puts up a shield, btw), fire can go the sun serpent route. Thomas did 7200 (total) dmg with a ZERO buff sun serpent on a myth. At that point you need 1-2 buffs max and you wait for them to blunder their pips. A matchup between fire n myth can go as simple as: Fire does a blade->aura-> shield....and they got 10 pips and 2 buffs just like that and are ready to kill. At that moment all you can do is preserve your pips, from which if I do not see 8 storm ones or 10 life ones, I am sending it no hesitation and putting you on a 6 round clock to kill me. All in all, I'm probably just scratching the surface too, efreet is so insane...if you counter my link (you still have an OT left), I elf and you have 3 now, prepped up for a 850 dmg -> 3 ots that do 1200 dmg total efreet AND THEN if I have max pips, I STILL have enough for a scion even after that and you will then have 6 OTs on you. Just because you skeletal pirated. And in contrary, I just can't spam shields/weaknesses on a myth to prevent severe punishment, but that's nothing new for the school, really, playstyle against them wouldn't change drastically from a defensive stand point. I do think that fire's secondary should should definitely be myth though...ice at worst, but definitely not life. Fire's biggest weakness is...weaknesses. They need to be able to counter those. tbh, ice is probably a bit better because it also counters the other element that fire doesn't which is blades. That kinda closes the loop on everything except fire vs fire.
@@thomassol9725 i also have an ice, and it sucks. I rely far too much on shadow spells when in comparison to my other characters.
