No interest in vegan chocolate personally (no offence to vegans btw) but I thoroughly enjoy hearing your articulate (firm but fair) thoughts on them. And I'm sure you've heard this a million times before but your voice is just so exquisitely soothing!
I think it's better that a company that specialises in chocolate products to make vegan chocolate. Rather than a company that specialises in vegan products to make vegan chocolate. So at least Lindt is doing something right. But there are better chocolate companies imo.
Glad I watched this before going out and buying it. I was having the sweet williams dairy free chocolate but they’ve just changed the recipe and now it just tastes like cane sugar and not as nice as it used to be.
i didn’t enjoy this chocolate bar, but i don’t enjoy oat milk. i didn’t have a problem with the texture, i just found there was an aftertaste. it wasn’t terrible in my opinion, but not great either. the thing with lindt is they don’t use palm oil, their lindor range does but their bars and other products don’t. it’s like cadbury’s don’t use palm oil in their vegan products but i refuse to support them because of their use of it in the vast majority of their products
Coco butter is chocolate literally the oil from the Cacao bean! It is the ingredient that makes a chocolate bar...well...a chocolate bar. Coco is roasted Cacao which us just the powdered version of the cacao bean! Coco powder and coco butter are bassically the same plant!

Once I finish filming I always share them with my family or my friends. If they enjoy something I haven't, then I always give them the rest of it. If NO ONE likes it, either I will try and bake it into something more palatable or just toss them - but that's pretty rare as I can't stand food waste!
I tried the lindt oat milk chocolate here in the states and it was awful. that lindt slimy texture like what's found in their "truffles" is so unpleasant.
@@MaverickBaking I don't think they are widespread. I've never seen the hazelnut flavour here, for example (which is fine, as I don't enjoy filberts), but we do have the oat milk chocolate one and it's like eating pure sugar. Very disappointing.

It’s my favourite chocolate and the best vegan chocolate I have tasted so far the hazelnut one.
Their vegan chocolates in the US are different. Still made of oat milk. I enjoyed it. The one I had was the caramel. Didn’t see hazelnut.

Very true! At least chocolate companies have a good base to start, whereas a few only-vegan companies I've had chocolate from have been baaaaaaaad!

Random question: What do you do with the products you buy and don’t like? Do you eventually eat them? Give them away? Or just toss them?

So disappointing! I'm a big oat milk (DRINK) lover too but this chocolate is baaaaaaad.

I guess they're consistent if nothing else hahaha! Yeah, the truffles melt well but I can never really get past the oiliness/sliminess either!

WORST CHOCOLATE BAR EVER. SHOULDNT EVEN BE CALLED CHOCOLATE. It literally feels silky in my mouth and won't melt
You do realise that real chocolate is Vegan, then they add the milk stolen from a cow to get humans hooked onto breast milk again.
