This is the first time I felt how all our Malaysian politicians should be. Discussed issues and gave solutions with no racial separation between the people. You're really setting the standard Syed! Your heart is in the right place and my only hope and wish are that you continue to hold on to this for many years! Thanks Jinny boy for this episode!
I see this young man as our future PM. I feel his passion. He’s knowledgeable and his willingness to work with people of similar mindset and the strength and will power to fight for all Malaysians. Way to go MUDA. Syed Saddiq, you’ve found your calling. You are godsend.
In my opinion, Malaysia needs citizens that are capable of independent and critical thinking, not easily indoctrinated and manipulated by politicians or political parties. Only then, Malaysia will have a capable government that genuinely serving the people.
This is the only politician interview got me listening from the start to the end without intimidated by halfway, which got me want popping up comments or switch to the othes. This interview session also won't makes me yawning. Thank you for bringing such a high quality of interview to the audiences. No comments to the video contents because both of them were syncing well.
Omg, I just finished the whole show straight. YB is a very good person, I've met him b4, and I love his ideology. Not only ideas but also he really did take action and make it happen. I really hope he becomes PM asap.
Lets hope he and his party wins and make for a much better , fairer Malaysia for all citizens , Brain drain is not because we want to leave but forced to because of the inequality of getting into university and good jobs. Our hearts are still for Msia and pity that that system has not changed for decades.
"you can ignore politics, but politics will never ignore you" Yes, I'm ashamed to say that I have been ignoring Malaysia politics for the longest time but only when policies affect me ( when I realised it I guess) I feel unjust and wish there's a government that prevent inequality. When the US is fuming with people who protest against the overturn of Roe v. Wade, I realise Malaysia is way wayyyyyy behind on a subject like this that affects everyone around me. , People like Syed, a young person who is brave enough to even step into the mess of Malaysia politics is, for me, unthinkable. I hope the best to MUDA.
Two Thumbs up to you, Syed Saddiq. You just made me feel 30 years younger. I hope you will one day lead our country to become a truly pluralistic and multiracial country. Your hopes and dreams for a new Malaysia does not stop there but will definitely spread to the East Malaysian territories - something that is much needed in this so called "hinterland" to the eyes of arrogant politicians with an archaic mentality.👍👍
I see a strong leader for Malaysia in Syed. He needs all the support we can give and help him replicate himself. We need more people like Syed Saddiq in Parliament. Only then there is hope for Malaysia.
What he said is correct. When a certain party stays in power for so long and is afraid to lose. They will do with all their power to stay on top even using an evil method and abuse of power.
I kowtow to you Syed for your thinking and sharing, we have a good future ahead in Malaysia to see good changes with more and more youth politician like you! Bravo!
Although I'm 67 years old, I will support MUDA because I believe we need younger politicians to make new n modern changes in Malaysia n the future of our beloved country also belongs to the young .
It is always a pleasure listening to YB Syed talk. What you see is what you get .. kinda of guy. Such Good command of English, polite and intelligent, well read person. The host Jinny such a refreshing host with a good command of English ....way to go ...interesting and informative chat show. 👍👍👍👏👏👏
Tomorrow is the day for us to make a change for a better life.. for a better future. EVERY VOTE MATTERS. You have the power to make key decisions on the quality of life you want for yourself, your family, and your community. Voting is your chance to stand up for the issues you care about like affordable housing, economic justice, environmental protection, and quality education. It’s your right. Not voting is giving up your voice. Voting is an opportunity for change. Our communities are made up of family, friends, loved ones, neighbors, and children. Some may not know how important voting is, while others cannot vote. Make the decision to vote to be a voice for yourself and those around you. FOR A BETTER FUTURE ..FOR A BETTER MALAYSIA.. AYUH MALAYSIA JOM MENGUNDI.
As a parent in Malaysia, I saw how these last 2 years was a struggle for my child that went thru primary 1 and 2. I can say my child couldn’t really learn much in those online classes. Also, i can also imagine how tough for other parents that could not afford the gadget/computer/internet during that time. The education system in Malaysia really needs a “kick in the a**” especially those so called ministers in charge.
how can we solve the problem? First and foremost VOTE for PH. Do not vote for the mahathir proxy party like MUDA and PPBM or even WARISAN. Im not saying that these problem will instantly go away, but if we keep putting people who are NOT TRUSTWORTHY, we will be talking about the same thing year in year out, election in and election out. and one more thing, IT IS NOT the AGE that is important but COMPETENCY, anyone who carries these MUDA narratives clearly do not understand the fundamental basis of GOVERNANCE.
I am living in NZ now but our hearts are still with our own country Malaysia, lately so many Malaysians here are rushing their votes even till last moment and waiting in airport begging strangers who are flying back to carry their ballots home today the latest. Our BersehNZ team are such a wonderful team have been orgainising to get all Malaysian votes to go home in time, They worked day and night 24/7 n no matter what even we are in another country we never forget our roots and never burn our bridge.
Everything is from the top down. If the top Management did not do the jobs, the followers will be the same . This is the same scenario in a public company. Singapore has forged a firm system where everyone need to follow which is really effective. For example like paying their COE and CPF contributions which they cannot avoid. However that also led to the progress of the nation even though they are facing lots of challenges such as lack of natural resources. Lee Kwan Yew has done a good job from the beginning.
For this party to grow, all Malaysians, irrespective of race and religion from all walks of life, should and must join this party, build it and allow it to grow and bring Malaysia back to its glory days for the next generations🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
Syed u r same age with my older son aunty so proud to hear you are offered in Oxford and due to these cruel and evil politicians treating your family and u decided to stay on for their safety and aunty will pray that you will make Malaysia proud to enter Oxford after this GE15 and have your dreams come true.
Our country need to reform the rules and regulation in almost every sectors. My suggestion is just copy our neighbour country of which have successful being used. All the government staffs are not in the right /best attitude when doing their jobs but spending too much time and money. It is really less efficiency and wasted money. No punishment have being made for those who making the terrible mistake.
i admire Saddiq involvedment in politics and hope that he thread wisely on the climate change because we know to toally accept the WEF proposal would be a disaster for a developing nation like us.
Suatu sesi conversation yang sangat menarik. I watched it till the end and i found that this conversation is so harmony. SS is very humble person, no matter what question he get, he answer it in a very calm and professional way. Sebagai seorang pemuda, SS memiliki cara berfikir yang sangat matang dan kritis. Thumbs up. Huraian SS begitu menyenangkan, no hates at all. We proud to be Malaysian.
We have very bad government, bad regulation, unqualify staff and department leader. If compare to Singapore almost every thing went wrong. We really need reform to make Malaysia better.
I thanks God for his grace, our God has build up this unique land call Tanah tumpah darah ku Malaysia. The ultra-race politicians have suppressed the minority races of Malaysia for enrichment of their families. We turn out to be independent, strong in faith , rising from all suppression and love our differences in skin colour, embrace diversity, culture, ethnic, languages. I love Malaysia.
The situation on ur accounting subject is so similar to my experience, I took accounting during high school, I just manage to pass everytime like 40/100. The teacher also fed up and give up tell me to drop it. Luckily SPM I also pass but when I get into college, I score A in both accounting subject that I had🤣
Our country made so many high quality and high demand stuffs but the pay is just ridiculous. Really don’t understand why the older generation are demonising young people on why they want to leave the country. When people don’t get to feed their families, you just got to roll the dice man
I do agree. Malaysia is very much wrong from every corner of its macro economy decisions from the start, whether from its currency value against the USdollar and then the Singapore's to its industrials and services related to the wages.
Great episode. On the education front, gifted students (with ADHD or autism) who require more support are left behind in the dust. What a shame, they have the most potential to contribute to the country. The mental health support for these people who are the most depressed and suicidal in the country is awful especially if they are poor. Parents who can afford it shouldn't be ashamed or should be pushed to go for private education until the public education gets better.
singapore value talent over all .. if they would give the job to the best person who can get the job done .. they also do not not allow religion to influance any public policy
haha just continue pumping monthly USD while you send it back 2 your family in back home like Bangla did the same working in Malaysia hahahaha you may think lets brain drain but the Bangla think otherwise hahahaha its USM (united states of malaysia) for them yo hehe
Absolutely, everybody born in a piece of this Earth which happens to be “ Malaysia” automatically qualifies to benefit, to thrive, succeed to their last breathe of their earthly life disregard of the colour of their skin. When we go overseas, do we introduce ourselves as malay, chinese or indian? No, we introduce ourselves as Malaysians. But within Malaysia, it's sad to see that race and religion is so strongly being weaponized for the good of certain people. And what's worse, is that some people does not realized that they are being used and blinded by politicians
So how easy would it be for me as a bi racial American citizen, who immigrated to Malaysia, with Malay spouse and kids, to talk to YB to gain some insight and offer input as an outsider? I am a foreigner but my stake in this country, even without PR and not being wealthy is so high.
I suppose that going to political gatherings where he is present would give you a chance at speaking to him. Btw he is not the only capable young politician we have. But my advice is to reach out directly to your MP or ADUN regarding issues you are facing because they are your direct representatives (or your family's, since you're not a citizen yet). Depending on the specific issues that you're facing, it would also be more effective to just reach out to certain ministries.
The last part is literally what touched me. And open my eye how evil and how fucked up the current government is. The people with power is so fucked up.
yes Syed The Indonesian President is my favourite idol and have watch his childhood film and he is a poor furniture maker son and have gone through so much in poverty.

That was thanks to Muhyiddin when he was Education Minister. I had wondered whether the data collected were against privacy... Later on there was some IT involved with the students lessons but many of the links were dead and not user friendly. UI is often atrocious with the design exactly like school books from the 90s. Private and esp international school is eating into a big chunk of parents monthly income. It is a shame that public school is not functioning properly , even though free public education is a basic necessity for the rakyat . Other parents send to private vernacular schools esp Chinese schools which does not represent a multi race culture enough and neither is free or cheap. What had the past and present education ministers being doing?

Hope they are in the cabinet

Malaysia needs more politicians (and ordinary citizens) liked Syed Saddiq. I see hope in Malaysia.
It's ppl like him for me to not give up hope on Malaysia

My views on politics are neutral. I heard Syed Saddiq on The Ming Thing podcast, I can see the hope in YB’s eyes that there is hope for Malaysia.
Although I'm 67 years old, I will support MUDA because I believe we need younger politicians to make new n modern changes in Malaysia n the future of our beloved country also belongs to the young .

Most politicians that show up on RUclips interview such as bbk , jinnyboy, mrmoney, are very real, charismatic , i think....
This is PM material. Focusing on institutions and policy reforms, like what Singapore did.
Dan akhirnya jus soli yang mereka mahukan pun tercapai kesamaan hak antara kaum 😂 tuan tanah dah jadi tetamu

The only time when I am Malaysian is overseas. In Malaysia I am chinese.
It is about how you reintroduce yourself.
Can always say you're Malaysian but ethnically you're Indian, Chinese, Malay, Bidayuh, Iban, Kadazan etc.
So how easy would it be for me as a bi racial American citizen, who immigrated to Malaysia, with Malay spouse and kids, to talk to YB to gain some insight and offer input as an outsider? I am a foreigner but my stake in this country, even without PR and not being wealthy is so high.
