Ultimate hypocrisy by PAS and other like-minded politicians!. Casino, 4-D, toto, breweries and other gambling/alcohol related companies also contribute significant taxes to the national coffers which fund all schools and public services in Malaysia. Perhaps, PAS and other similar-minded politicians should enact laws to exempt these businesses and non-muslims working for these corporations from paying taxes so that the national treasury is not "tainted". History has proven across multiple countries and era that it is best not to mix politics with religion.

Yeah. I concur. I have several family members whom have embedded themselves all over the world post studies. Though they were GLC sponsored, they opted to remain and repay rather than return to MY. They have been exploring options of settling down in MY after a decade, but hesitant. Referred to that return program under Talent Corp, and I personally wasnt impressed. But having spoken to OKM and his ability to sync, a good candidate to end MYs capital flight

Last 40yrs ago when there is no big boys like tiger to donate ,we parents and Chinese businessmen give money to Chinese school! We work hard to make things to sell! Give away our favourite precious collection for auction! Why ? Because we love our Chinese schools , government can’t give us money we have to strive hard to survive! Now there so many outstanding Chinese leaders and we are proud we did on our own!

It's because the previous Government is doing a better job. Chinese school is funded fully by the Government under Bn rule. Today u need an alcohol company to fund Chinese school. It proves Rocket isn't doing much for the Chinese community. I am Malaysian born Chinese. Chinese school people always told me that you are backward by not knowing Mandarin. I told them I am Malaysian born Chinese. Does a malay or Indian that knows Mandarin have an advantage over me. The answer is no. Its because we are Malaysian . The most important language is Malay. Second English. If you can't speak Bahasa melayu and English fluently as a Malaysian born Chinese don't consider yourself as a Malaysian born Chinese.

The founding fathers of the US constitution are very wise in recognising human weaknesses that is why maximum 2 terms only. Even when it comes to owning arms, the founding fathers know governments and the military do turn corrupt. Its not perfect system, but a dictatorship is even worse. A recognition of human weakneses in the constitution is super wise.

It’s not issue of halal or haram. It’s issue of influence to the next gen. If based on the logic by OKM, then tobacco n vapes companies should be allowed to donate n advertise their logo for all these fund raising/charity events. For this matter, gotta thank PAS for bringing up this issue even though the intent is to score political points. 18:50
If the companies are sincere to support the school with donations, no need to advertise their logo. Just donate. If they donate for purpose of marketing, do it somewhere else.

i think the bigger issue is why exactly they need to get funding from such organizations in the first place. The Government should have been the one that provides these fundings but the explicit racist policies venacular school has to go through is the reason why they have to get funding else where.

Why doesn't the Government simply allocate bigger budgets for education in lieu of many other Budgets that have been allocated to various other Ministries. Surely Education should be a top priority for any Government.

I'm ok with school getting donation or sponsorship. But it should have any logo or branding being showed or else it is kind of promoting. There is difference in donation and promoting. In fact, most sponsorship do required to have branding being display and why? Coz it is a form or promoting or advertising.
Another very worrying sign I can see in Msia is that, if 1 thing being done for long, even it is wrong will automatically classified as no problem.

@@frankchong5585 Welcome to world of capitalist. I would much rather if you investigate from the angle of whether the Beer company avoid tax or the fund was misuse for something illegal because it would affect the greater good of Malaysia. What we know so far is the Chinese community value education and our political climate is one of its kind, beer company saw an opportunity and step in as Chinese community is their biggest patron and customer base. If not at school, it is already everywhere from CNY to kopitiam, you didn't see the tiger logo on Chinese restaurant when you tarpao food we eat everyday? Alcohol is also part and parcel of Chinese culture ranging from literature to food.
Instead of riding on a moral high horse, it is much better to understand this from a cultural perspective. For the Chinese, when the official government fail to provide certain level of services require, the shadow governance by private enterprise will always step in to maintain a level of stability. You can try to observe how KL is built by Yap Ah Loy, basically "mafia" but rules-based. Another example is Hong Kong Kowloon Walled City, it is suppose to be a lawless city but somehow the shadow governance is able to provide a system where you can deliver mail to each household in that city. The best word to describe it would be "chaotically order". There are some other stories like when China was poor, prostitute who sell their body overseas save their money and bring it back home to build school for future generation.
So in the grand scheme of things, who are we to say who is more moral? Also, since when is driking immoral? In Bavaria Germany, Beer is categorize under food.
Legally, you can drink in day time at work.

Witnessing the Parliament session on social media platforms, rather obvious, law makers don’t really bring the country forward but their most obvious actions are to argue, quarrel and oppose.
