It’s the classic lower tier / same tier bully design. My prediction is that It won’t be statistically crazy for win-rate since the armor will struggle in Tier 10 and 9. But like you said it will probably steamroll lower tiers
yeah wich is why my interest for this tank is essentially nonexistent. WoT is already enough of a casino i don't want to be even more dependent on luck
This is what the defender should be, the Defender is garbage, so id the 50 TP prototype, which was mis sold as the newe defender, it is nothing of the sort
Strange take honestly. There´s a bunch of tier 8 heavies ie. Chrysler, K2, Mauerbercher, Vk 100, BZ minus the tiny bar on the bottom all need around 250mm to go through. And the chrysler for example has essentially no weakspots and more gold pen. It also goes 35 instead of 24. I really don´t see the point of this tank. Also there´s a bunch of tanks at tier 8(Skoda, BZ, 703, Grom...) that can just overpeek, take the 350 and blast you in return. If you really want to play slow tanks why not go for a TS5 or Turtle? Those things have guns that are actually amazing for being slow at least and also have similar armour.
The point of this tank is that it's free lol. Chrysler was the only one you mentioned that is free to get. Grom was free too if you farmed an annoying amount.
The main reason it still differs from all of these u mentioned above are his tracks. So you can pick and bite ppl so they lose their chance on penning you while you leap at the opportunity dealing free dmg. That is what it has.
I know right, why does it have to be a separate tank instead of a Crusher with an event skin? I really, really dislike tanks with non-removable cosmetics.

HE pen is usually: Caliber divided by 2. Like 120mm equals 60mm HE pen. The 57mm HE pen probably results from a wierd British caliber/pounder around 114mm

This is probably going to be the first toxic tier 8 I get because I’m really enjoying the PvE game mode, surprisingly. If this could only get +-1MM it would be very nice since it’s useless on t10 and utterly broken on t6.
Buy chrysler for bonds lol. Its probably the most toxic t8 tank, its even more annoying than the bz176. It sits in his sidescrape and you cant do anything to it reliably unless you have like 300 preferrably heat pen. Weakest part on the thing frontally is like 220mm so if he is out of position you may not even be able to pen it anyways
I bet this tanks armor will bounce alot before people learn about the tank weakspot it kinda unique armourwise like a 752 the first weeks before people learned
So its like turreted turtle mk1. The armor is amazing till it sudently its not. As soon as you meet a tank that can pen you they can pen you with auto aim. Or maybe a better description is a defender with a working gun.

WG has clearly shown they do not want players to play anything below tier 8 or even tier 9. Over the years they added more and more crap to tier 8 that should never have a -2 mm. Latest crap the bz, grom and now potentially that thing. Just don´t play anything below tier 8 and you are mostly fine. So in a way wot exists solely out of 3 tiers now not 10.
Tier 8s very often have to fight with 9 or 10, much more often than against 6 & 7, which since this tank is quite slow, if it cannot do its thing with armor domination, it's not going to be able to do much else.
I find theese mirny reward tanks quirky, but in the most positive way. Obsidian was pretty much hated when it came out, but it worked extraordinarily for me, one of the funniest tanks to play with, actually. This Crusher seems to be a lot more promising than the TITT
Perhaps Wargaming is thinking of this thing as something to counter the BZ-176s. It is rather tall, so the gun stands a better-than-usual chance to hit the BZs turret weakspot, and the BZ will struggle against the Nergal's armour even with gold ammo. The question is how other Tier VIIIs will cope with this thing.
That does seem like an interesting hypothesis. I do think the armour effectiveness would start falling off in a few weeks when people begin to learn how to pen the tank though.
Already seen a few out in the wilds, I didn't have any trouble taking one out ridge fighting in my T29 just hitting the cuppolas, and my Cromwell just ran circles around one late game and killed it 1v1 its so slow, usual heavy tank expert being full health and camping the redline though 😂 seems like a good all rounder, but nothing broken.
Its actually very toxic against tier 6 with only a handful capable of penning it frontally(tds and arl 44/m6 apcr). The moment it manages to get even a little hulldown it becomes a nightmare to deal with. And even WITH shooting the lfp there are some t6s that are out of that pen-range as well.
They need to stop destroying the game , changing the meta and not rebalancing 80% of tanks that are powercreeped now a days . Stop releasing teir 9 and 10 premium tanks. You’re forced to buy and pay real money to be competitive in new meta.

And it goes 40, it has insane power to weight so its actually very nimble for its size. And the gun is glorious. It may not have the same armor values as this thing but its a lot faster. You can pull off disgusting things with the chrysler. Sometimes it genuinly feels bad to play it. Its basically immune to bz176 aswell. God save every enemy when its top tier, you can literally hold w on a side and arrive at enemy spawn on full hp. Its basically the sidescraping variant of this thing. A big bloaty bulldozer that is obnoxious or even impossible to kill in a proper position. I hope it gets the same fate as the chrysler, and it becomes a rarely played op tank that just lurks around the shadows. Bc if it stays popular t8 is gonna be even better than it is now
I totally agree with you, this tank is so good, people just aim at you and they cant oen, you have better armor than the bz, the gun is better, you vs bz hulldown = you win since he has a hard time to hit your weakspot
You are ok. guy but this game is Soviet mentality trap. All those stats matter once in 100 games. The rest is just following match maker plan. I have been experiencing continuous decline of my win ratio for the last 3 months. It doesn't matter what tank I take. Every day I get 4 to 5 defeats in row at the start of the session. Just to make me cry and spend money in despair on something in the game. Therefore I call them mandatory defeats. You can't do anything to win those games. This games are not random at all. One team is filled with afk tanks, bots and idiots. The other is prepared like in CW tournaments.
Ngl i thought it would be op too, but I noticed, least for me, I'll get consistent uptiers, soo.. even thoigh it's a heavy tank I have to play cautiously... especially since random have no teamwork most times lol
Yeah this is going to be the kind of tank where they only matchmake you with Bourrasques, Progetto 46s, BZ-176s, ELC Even 90s and be done with it. Matchmaking with royally screw you over.
yes, the joys of +2MM, making this thing even extremely hard to pen even for tier8 peers as only few tier8 come even close to 300mm pen - this is not taking td's in and your are not able to see the weak spots. 300 mm pen or close too: 122TM, MKPz, Obj274a, Nemesis and .... ??? on the range of 270mm to 280 you get some more variety Sad things WG didn't take the lesson from BZ up to this point.
Luckily, the almighty T 103 will have no problems against this thing. For maximum consistency, load the gold. Also, i just straight up compared this thing to the Jagdpanzer. This thing has a turret that some tier 10s will be envious of. On a ridgeline, Jagdpanzer will have very little space to work with as if this thing's turret is IS-7 or 705A. Uh....yeah. The tank which makes tier 10s quake cant see all green on this tank, it has to actually aim... with gold ammo.
Looks good to me, just wish it could be a style instead of a permenant skin, but side question tho, with the buffs, is the M48 Rampanzer good, or okay, etc?

Back to reality, got 28 battles, not a single with 6-7 tier. All games 8-9-10 tiers. And yes its disapointing, i have 2000 avg dmg in nergal, now compare it to tech tree t32 -3217avg dmg (60 days). Even when i was on top of the hill, tier 9 HT penned my front armour from down bellow, where i even could not aim, so how it has 250, with that angle it must be well over 300
Guys everything will be fine. Chrysler K is not that OP as you can always outflank it. The 252 has a weak lower plate, slow ROF and you can always outflank. Even the BZ is not that. Wait for him to fire or miss and just bum rush him. Everything will be fine.
Not worth it. Play the mode for other goodies. For context: See other reviewers, this tank gets slammed hard. To slow, armor bad - who is counting on enemies shooting standard nowadays?!? and even then, TDs go through you no problem - nerfed dpm, pen, turret traverse and accuracy as well as nerfed viewrange (360m, trash now). You are basically a lumbering block, easy to pen unless in an ideal situation, too slow to react, not enough dps to be a real threat alone and can be spotted everywhere but can't spot back. Sure, this tank may be "too good" if it plays against full t6 but which t8 heavy doesn't have the same or similar impact in such a setup (and on average, I see T6 games around all 100 games if even, so for that it's a joke).
Oh noes. BZ-176 and Cobra was not enough? Also for any other scout than ELC Even 90, it's very difficult. I love playing my WZ-132. Frustration mounts. I know it's a working business model, to create some frustration, this is NOT an easy game, but come on. Pay to win.
this is NOT broken to a BZ level, not even close. It's not idiot proof....and it's very easy to pen if it's not hull down....I've got it and am struggling and I don't suck...that much lollz

Your just overreacting, if you can’t outplay a grom it’s more of a skill issue tbh, the grom is really only good in like 3 maps in the whole gsme

I never was into the halloween mode and don't think the tank is worth it. Too slow and free farm. I am happy with my Grom and done with grinding.

Not worth it. Play the mode for other goodies.
For context: See other reviewers, this tank gets slammed hard. To slow, armor bad - who is counting on enemies shooting standard nowadays?!? and even then, TDs go through you no problem - nerfed dpm, pen, turret traverse and accuracy as well as nerfed viewrange (360m, trash now).
You are basically a lumbering block, easy to pen unless in an ideal situation, too slow to react, not enough dps to be a real threat alone and can be spotted everywhere but can't spot back. Sure, this tank may be "too good" if it plays against full t6 but which t8 heavy doesn't have the same or similar impact in such a setup (and on average, I see T6 games around all 100 games if even, so for that it's a joke).
...until will be nerfed like 279e.

this is NOT broken to a BZ level, not even close. It's not idiot proof....and it's very easy to pen if it's not hull down....I've got it and am struggling and I don't suck...that much lollz

@@con_boy no. The average player doesn’t do good in the grom, the grom rarely ever bounces, I make the grom work but it is so annoying it’s not that good of a tank. Your just overreacting, if you can’t outplay a grom it’s more of a skill issue tbh, the grom is really only good in like 3 maps in the whole gsme
