    Shane Meadows is the best English film director. His films make a mockery of the slop served up by Hollywood.

    I Was An Iscolated Teen Struggling With A Toxic Family so called life. I sniffed glue; hung around Broad Marsh bus station. I shaved half my head at 14 was nik named Arfer by my Head teacher. There was punk rockers. Rude girl guy possës. This film is so revealing on a pert level. When I was approached by s skin to join national front. My dad would a been so proud if I'd had joined up. Re:toxic so called family life. I refused and came to the realisation of my moral maturity at 14. Got slung out the home because I began a relationship with a black lad 8 yrs my senior. A morally correct family would have sat bck to see it fizzle out as my first relationship yet I stayed with him for 7years. The other chapters in my life are for the artworks I create. No family contact for nigh on 20 yrs. Will say this about Nottingham that it's the centre of the universe. Shane and Paddy are extraordinary people. Stay blessed !! IZ Rankin

    I'm just waiting for Meadows version of Scott of the Antartic, where they're all wearing Fred Perry's and Ben Sherman's, even though they hadn't been made for 30/40 years. :)

    Yeah it should have had some Oi.This was to take place in 1983 right? Two tone was over so Oi was prominent.4skins,Last resort,Combat 84,the bussiness,Skrewdriver.That was the time of Oi.I was 16 at the time.

    GOD i wish this movie had a bigger release in the US.If my friend Damon saw this, it would change his mind on what being a skinhead should be.I live in the Arizona, a state that has a population of over 1 million illegal immigrants. I've been trying to explain the difference between being a skinhead and being a racist.So far, he is on a very bad path.Saying things like people are defined by the color of their skin.Or Mexican's are taking our jobs, when the majority of hispanics in Az are legal.

  • @freddiemercerful
    @freddiemercerful 12 лет назад

    Right yeah okay, so again not dealing with the point. Obviously you've heard an adult using a phrase like "your point is redundant" and you have decided to repeat it, unfortunately however your still not actually discussing anything, after all statements like; "your point is redundant" can be used in a discussion at any time, anywhere. Oh well saves you having to actually think I guess, which for you must take a great deal of energy.

  • @freddiemercerful

    Do not be a plebeian.I was in the Army and I've been out into the world,see?And you can't judge me because I'm an American.Most American Media is Hollywood or New York left wing.The reality of the streets of LA is right wing.Dog eat dog,see?And LA and New York skinhead culture is different because of demographics.Too much is written about the original London culture.We may imitate the cloths but the life is far more harsh.

    shame I wasn't old enough to go out and party until about 89/90, generation X wasn't it? I missed the smiths and joy division first time around. kind of wish I was five years older, if only to have more distance between me and this soulless millennial generation.

    Why you laying into Danny Boyle? I prefer Meadows movies over his but Boyle seems like a nice guy and he's got a lot of talent. And having a go at the "tigger acceptance dance" is pretty harsh, that was for his kids, whats it got to do with you or me? and before you say im kissing Boyles ass (cos im not, Meadows is a better film-maker, superb in fact) id criticise you for attacking Michael Bay if HE did a "tigger acceptance dance" for his kids, and i hate that guy and all his films...

    That's a lie. You can't get into the US military unless you are a High school graduate or higher.There are also evaluation test to take to place you in an MOS.I was a medic,see? Do you think they let anybody operate an Abrams Tank or fly a Black Hawk?
    You are reaching ,see? Reaching.
