  • Hello :)
This is the requested transcription I've done of the Aretha Franklin song "Oh Me Oh My (I'm a Fool For You Baby" from her 1972 album "Young, Gifted, and Black". Eric Gale was the bass player on this track.
You can find this transcription at Muzento when you sign up with an Advanced Lesson Plan.
This is a beautiful song and was a real pleasure to learn and transcribe. Aretha sounds fantastic on this track. I'm not that familiar with the album, but I think I need to check it out :)
I know Eric Gale from his guitar playing. I didn't know he was such a tasty bass player too!
This has a great feel to it. The slow tempo makes it difficult. I had to really subdivide to match up to what he was playing. I have a feeling there was a conductor when this was recorded.
This one will challenge your patience, your ability to count and subdivide!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did :)
Don't forget to like and subscribe and thanks for watching.

Hi, would you mind putting your settings to get the tone for each song in the description or somewhere in the video? It would be really helpful to know which pickups to use, how much gain, how much tone, any eq, etc.

Thanks Greg for this cover !
I have a request 🙏, there is a brazilian song very groovy I love so much : Gilberto Gil - Aquele Abraço. I think this is the first live performance where I was starting to fall in love with bass instrument when I was teenager. May be you like it too ? It's not overly complex and I found some covers ( ex : ruclips.net/video/F-lao1VRugY/видео.html ) but without the tabs ... they are some notes I struggle to find.
