Great video for many reasons! You showed that you can do an amazing Alaksa Kenai/Russian river fishing trip that doesn't break the bank! Most importantly to me, was the fact that you all enjoyed the experience of catching Sockeye, and didn't have to get a limit each day! The experience is what it is all about, and a beautiful place to do it. Hope you get back up there to give it a try again, and next time, try the lower Kenai in the middle of July! Plan ahead, but lots of camping spots if you book early!

I just got back from a 20 mile backpacking trip and I saw 2 grizzly bears and caught my PB brown at 26 inches! Looks like we both had a fun time

@@North_Star_Fishing I’m not, there is so many blatant violations in this section that Is small potatoes….the regs should be keep the first 3 fish regardless of where they are hooked and you are done fishing for the day….all we are doing as you found out is legally snagging these fish in the mouth!
