Thank you for making this video. It is the most clear and simple directions to changing out the blower motor, you helped me save time and money, thank you!!! Other videos on this topic show removing the dash trim and glove box, which are all unnecessary, do not improve visualization. To prevent screws from dropping behind the side trim, can tuck a small towel to block the trim area, save you some headache. Thank you.
Thank you for the kind comments. I found the same when search for blower motor replacement. Don’t know why some would take glove box out. Wanted to share for the reasons you mentioned.
Excellent: Just want to add one more tip. Just changed mine in about an hour. Upon reinstalling the blower motor, there are grooves that match up with the blower and the housing before you screw it back in. Take the time to align the blower into the grooves of the housing when shoving it back in and it will seal correctly and the screws will line up perfectly.
Thanks for the tip. That helped. That groove guides it perfectly up into the housing. If it isn’t right the screw holes won’t match up. Just finished replacing mine.
I usually don't comment or all that on youtube but I figured I'd take a moment to thank you - This was quite simple for me and that says a lot since I'm not highly practiced in wrenching around on cars. Thanks for publishing this walk through!
Thank you for the kind words. When I did my blower motor I didn’t find a good video and most videos I watched they where going too far and taking more off then needed to do the job. Ended up doing my job twice to make the video.
This video really helped me tackle my issue. Now it blows so much, I never realized the loss in power before other than the intermittent outage. I didn’t need a magnet and after watching a few times it was easy. Thanks.
I wondered why the other videos took so many things apart. I used your method. It took longer to disconnect and connect the battery than to install the blower. Thanks!
Simple and easy. Thank you for saving us $$$. I just replaced mine on my 2013 Cayenne S. The problem was blower speeds was constant after 4 clicks up on the fan switch. Replacing blower assembly solved the problem and saved my at least $500.00 from "the stealer." Gracias amigo.
Hopefully the video also saved you time. That was my main point of making the video. Watched numerous video where people where taking the glove box out to do the blower motor.
Thanks for posting this replacement! Picked up a new motor for less than $90 on Amazon and it took under 45 minutes start to finish. I don’t typically work on my cars so it’ll take less for those that are handy w/wrenching.
Thanks for this great video. Worked just as you demonstrated. Those side screws are a tight fit though! One thing I did was shove some paper into the opening on the side panel to prevent a screw falling in.
Well I just finished!!! And I have AC again!! I don't know why other channels show removing the glove compartment and the right side vent.... Your way worked, minus trying to be a contortionist at 56... lol
I was thinking the same when I did my Cayenne blower motor and thought that I would make a video showing that the glovebox doesn’t need to come out. Had to do my blower motor twice to make the video.
Watched a few video of people taking apart their entire glovebox and taking two or three hours to do the job. I wanted to post a video that showed you don’t have to take the glovebox apart to change blower motor.
I have 2017 cayenne the blower works great on heater but once I turn on ac it comes out and shut off and blow really little amount.. is it blower motor resistor issue? Or blower motor? Need help..

Thank you for this great video. What looked challenging was made easy with your step by step instructions.

Thank you so much... It saved me so much time and effort.
Easy 30 min -1 hour job.
Greatly appreciated.

Made it soooo easy! 2 hours including breakfast.

Thank you for the comment. Good to know that Amazon has the replacement blower motor. When I made the video, Amazon didn’t sell many auto parts.

Awesome video! Great help!
This helped me a lot thanks a lot 👊💪
Thanks for the vid. Pretty helpful. Just ordered mine and waiting on it so i can change it

Hi
Help me, please
I have a problem with A/C fan motor
Sometimes, working and sometimes not
There is a control unit attached to the blower motor. This is what happened to my Cayenne. Replace the blower motor will fix the issue.
Those bolts are actually 5.5mm bolts
Thanks for the video!. Strange for a German vehicle that the bolts are 7/32nd and not metric. But indeed, 7/32 is correct.
I’m attempting this tomorrow
How did the job go? Hopefully smooth.
Does this apply to a 2014 Cayenne Diesel?
It should, my Cayenne is a 2014 S and has the same interior.
I have 2017 cayenne the blower works great on heater but once I turn on ac it comes out and shut off and blow really little amount.. is it blower motor resistor issue? Or blower motor? Need help..
I would think it is the resistor issue, but unfortunately the blower motor and resistor come as one part.
On my 2013 Cayenne S, I had same problem and replacing blower assembly solved it.
What reco do you have the on the replacement? Brand/where?
Here is the part information, I used supplier that is not available to public.

Does the motor or relay go out more often on these?
I was surprised that with only 53K miles the blower motor needed replacement. The resistor & blower motor are one unit. The relay was still good.
FEEDBACK: The squealing, bird sound effect (used throughout for ratcheting sounds???) was making me want to pull my hair out!!!
What year is the Cayenne in the video?
