I have a question, on a Flowserve positioner I can just run a "find travel stops" and a Masoneialan SV2 I can also only run a travel stop. This can be very helpful at a time when we have to have the valve immediately. We use a lot of the PS2s where I work, is there a way to only run a find travel stop and skip the other steps ? If we are on a sloppy valve that is not scheduled to be rebuilt until an outage I could really use this function because the PS2s at times will not complete the calibration if there is slop? Any suggestions? Thank you for your help. Shaun
Hello, I troubles with one Sipart PS2 positioner. In manual mode, when I press "-" key is opening the valve and when I press "+" is closing the valve. It's like working reversed. With another PS2 positioner the valve is working fine.
Dear Mr.Gilson, have a good day and good afternoon my dear friend. Hope you doing fine. i have buy a new SIPART2 positioner and I Have got a new findings when i wish to go configure it in my existing single acting 20mm stroke actuator. I have gone this procedure in your positioner connected with my existing control valve. I have gone step-1, step-2, step-3,step-4, step-5, step-6 and step 7. In step 6 and step 7 your positioner can open acuator only 30% when i press both ( +)and (-) key. If i press single button either + or - then it cannot open the actuator. After completion the step 7 and step 8 gone then Range message display. May i ask you to know that at this condition 30% open the valve in both YEND1 and YEND2 is normal? If its abnormal what can i do.please advice me. However, if i press single + or minus button then actuator not move in YEND1 and YEND2 mode.but when i press both + and - button simultaneously then it open actuator only 30% then when press hand button its display range message.will you please advice me its normal or abnormal?
Not sure of your question, but I will guess that you are asking if the positioner can move in both directions. The answer is yea if you order Dual acting
