    I am an ex Catholic, Protestant, with some Jewish descent, a student of the Philokalia (Christian Orthodox Mysticism), and I am enjoying your series immensely! Thank You! I find very few of my Christian brothers and sisters who have any comprehension of the Divine Light (The Holy Spirit), as a pathway to God, and for me, through Christ, the Jewish Messiah, and fountain of this Divine Light.

    I am still wrestling with the earlier videos on the Guide to the Perplexed, but I decided to cheat and listen to this final video in the series. I encourage everyone to watch this series. There is no doubt that Maimonides will challenge you with his Guide but trying to follow the Guide and the Seekers of Unity’s presentations will enlighten you regardless of how much you study. I am in awe of the breath of Zevi Slavin’s research and effort in putting together this series. Grateful!

    Honestly Zev, this is one of the most powerful RUclips series I’ve seen. Absolutely life changing, and monumental. The only way to express how deeply important this was for me is to say that there has never been a few hours of my life where I’ve ever had my mind more focused on God than when I’ve read Mishnah Torah and when I’ve watched these videos.

    His son and successor Avraham Ben Maimon definitely was one. he also defined himself as a Jewish Sufi as for him the "Ein od milvado" and the "Wahdat al-Wujud" were synonimus related to the One and Only Being, being Being. Wonderful video Zvi. HQBH is with You as you irradiates your love to the world around. Todah.

    This was definitely my favorite episode! I am so grateful to learn about Maimonides through this series. I deeply resonate with what you shared about him today, particularly what was said about light, and the fullness aspect. He is an inspiration for sharing his views. I am looking forward to sharing my experience too which gives me some trepidation, but knowing there are people throughout history that have proclaimed their truth proudly, gives me solace. This channel has been incredibly helpful on my journey. In a book I have written I mention this channel as a valuable source I have come across and whose content I greatly value! Truly I am so grateful, many thanks! ✨✨✨✨✨

    Zevi, perhaps you might consider doing a series about Nachmanides and also a comparison with Maimonides. I would suggest the book by Moshe Halbertal "Nahmanides law and mysticism" as a possible reference.

    Your Maimonides series has been such a pleasure...Thank you very much.
    Your mentioning of Vaughn´s poem, the one where he described a "Dazzling Dark", brings to my memory the most interesting near death experience report, paradoxically that of a scientist and old "New Atheism" member, John Wren Lewis, who spent the rest of his life writing absolutly wonderful articles precisely about his encountering with what he defined (admittedly using Henry Vaughn´s words), as a dazzling dark, the Absolute, unmanifest, formless, a total no-thing-ness that shone incredibly but in the sense of being the source of light. He understood that Dark as our true Self, from which "individual body-mind perspectives" would emerge (our personal points of view), which would be perceived by the Dazzling Dark Itself, in a act of creating through perceiving, or, as he put it, "cognizing into existence". Which is also a way to reconcile another subject you talked about in these series, the negation of the individual (the body-mind perspectives are not "us", but merely projections of the Dazzling Dark) and our affirmation as/our becoming the Dark, not through ego inflation, but through properly understanding that only the Dark projects and perceives.
    BTW, and as a Spaniard who never uses English in his daily life, your pronunciation is so clear that makes it really easy for me to understand you:)

    Awesome video Zevi, I hope you don't mind me saying but I think that you are being guided by someone(thing). You hit of some very peculiar and awesome concepts and I can see how you strive to try to understand them. Thank you for doing this. Thank you for sharing this gift with me and the world. And if you are not and I'm mistaken, I'm sorry my friend, for taking the liberty to try to make an observation. which may be erroneous. Be blessed brother.

      Thank you brother. Care to elaborate?

    • @jbaquinones
      @jbaquinones 2 года назад +2

      @@SeekersofUnity Sure. In this video you speak about the light of the darkness and silence. I believe that you saw the treasures hidden within these concepts but you approached the problem from a philosophical prospective at least as you covered the video. But Maimonides said that he approaches G-d better in the moments before he falls sleep. These are the moments of darkness and silence. I have to agree with him. I have had some scary moments in these times in that threshold. At least this is my perspective. For me this means something different from philosophy. In some cases, when allowed, something aligns from the back of my head and can see faces. These faces open gates which make me dive into visions. The darkness becomes alive. Sometimes, they look like human figures but often they are blurs of energy and smell. These things reveal pieces of knowledge as we communicate without words. But.....Who knows may be I'm just crazy and you don't have to believe a single word of what I just said.
