The 2024 Toyota 4Runner is the very last of the old school Toyota trucks. The Tundra, Tacoma, Sequoia and Land Cruiser are now TNGA platform. No more naturally aspirated V6s and V8s. Turbo 4 cylinder gas, turbo 4 cylinder hybrid, turbo 6 cylinder gas, and turbo 6 cylinder hybrid will be the only future options for Toyota trucks. Only time will tell how reliable and durable these new trucks will be. In my opinion, I think the 2024 Toyota 4Runner will be the last great 4Runner from the standpoint of reliability and long term cost of ownership when not accounting for fuel. Love the color. Especially with the little touches of red from the trd pro, wish the interior was updated like the new tundras other than that I would definitely get it
When they unveil the redesigned interior and exterior, probably for the 2025 model year, they will likely get rid of the tried-and-true bulletproof V6 for a turbocharged 4 cylinder.
Tough decision. I bought a 2024 last week because I want the old engine. In my opinion the interior and exterior of the 5th gen is classic and timeless, so I chose not to wait for the redesign

I like the color. It sooks black in the shadows and gray in the light. This color may show scratches and dents more than black.

not sure how close to Wyoming or South Dakota you might be, but I know a couple places nearby that only sell at MSRP and don't have insane waitlist last I checked.

Not a fan of the color way too dark. Might as well be black. Toyota needs to offer colors that are different enough from each other.
