I would question this. I'd argue that Barcelona is the Jazz Capital of Spain and probably of Europe. This is largely due to one man, Joan Chamorro. You can check with Andrea and Carla-the women in your first feature. Then check out the San Andreu Jazz Band--the best jazz school, employment agency etc. around. THis is all well documented on You Tube of course.
Absolutely, the job done by Joan Chamorro and San Andreu are of enormous relevance, also Jamboree Jazz Club and Barcelona Jazz festival are contributing highly. However Madrid, with a daily flow of live jazz in jazz clubs as Sala Villanos, Cafe Berlin, AC Recoletos to mention a few are hosting a truly cosmopolitan stable of artists from Latin America together with the vibrant movement of flamenco jazz are making this city a real pole of Latin Jazz.
Hi, the picture of the Thumbnail yes is showing Andrea Motis over a picture of Madrid Calle Gran Via and Calle Alcala. Andrea’s is part of the compilation with a highlight of her show with Carla and Giuseppe Campisi at Sala Villanos our partner club in Madrid.
I met Carla and Andrea in California when they were visiting. Very nice ladies.

Claiming that Madrid is taking over as the Latin Jazz Capital -- with a menu picture of Barcelona's Andrea Motis!
