Common houseflies live a month, though, not a week. And if they're inside they spend the huge majority of that trying to leave, the opposite of trying to bother you.. Lots of good material though!

Yes, indeed, animals are kinda heartless. One of our pet rabbits ate ALL of her babies in the hutch. Probably the most traumatic thing I witnessed as a small child.
Yes, they can b. They will attack th old, sick & injured....mercilessly. Dogs ENJOY killing. Stepfathers have what I term "male lion syndrome" (they kill any offspring not theirs).
Your "bear fact" reminded me of a story Mom told me, she and her brother used to work for a pig farmer, whenever a sow was going to give birth, one of them had to be in the pen while the other one was on the other side of the fence. Whenever a piglet popped out the person inside would grab it and throw it to the other one. Can you guess why? The mother sow would kill the piglet.
Male pigs routinely kill baby pigs or will shove sows into things/stomp them so the piglets are killed before being born so the sows will go into heat again. Nature is brutal.
Give them the food. It's a stranger and homeless people usually don't have phones. If they can't get you doxed it doesn't matter if they think you're racist or not.

When my kids were little and we never had money for fun things, I told them we were broke, not poor. Broke meant we never had money for extras. Poor meant we couldn’t afford food, utilities or a roof over our head. I was okay with broke. But it’s not fun. This guy made it fun.

We are so broke here in Tennessee, last week I needed a babysitter so I told my neighbors our daughter swallowed a quarter so they immediately asked if she could stay with them for couple nights:)
A stray female cat had 4 kittens in my house. One of them wasn't nursing from her and the third day I found him under her back end, she ate the bottom half of the kitten. Good thing I didn't have an eating disorder when I was a baby otherwise I may have been dinner. This guy was genuinely funny.

Either that or just accidentally sit/sleep on it and it suffocates or gets crushed. They really have 0.01% care for their litter
