I like the 2.4 hhz still going strong in order to keep all the 20 year old fax printers and scanners, cameras & alarm systems will continue another 20 years
The 2.4 GHz frequency band exists because it provides a good balance between signal range and penetration through walls, making it ideal for wireless technologies like Wi-Fi, especially in situations where long-distance connectivity is needed, even if it means sacrificing some speed compared to higher frequencies like 5 GHz; essentially, it's widely used due to its ability to reach farther through obstacles while still offering enough bandwidth for most common wireless applications.
Hello, I am interested in this device because of its reasonable price... question: as of today 2024 does it work? I have seen it on Amazon and it has very low ratings.
@@MiguelDominguezGarcia Hello, you must write to motorola-network and tell them to reset the serials and mac from the motosync inventory, I did it and it worked.
Does this work better than a Verizon booster? I have about 2,000 square feet, but my cheap booster in the living room won't work very well with 2 other tvs going. My house is one level, but solid wood doors, metal roof, and the house isn't built like a square house. It was added on 2x. Now it's shaped different. Wdyt??
Any one figure out how to stop bandsteering on the mesh system. I have a few devices that need 2.4ghz and I can't figure out how to do that with this system.
Bless you too and regards to fellow foreign student. Can you uodate us on any OTA software updates that occured if any? Have you tried to bringn ethernet 7 or 8 connection from the 1st unit to the furthest extender? Tip 1 & 2: Many people initially connect and old slow yellow ethernet 5 cable that came with the ATT fios/cable isp unit. Tip 2: make sure air flows freely to keep the circuit board from overheating /dropping connection. If humid and hot lication, add a $8 3 watt usb fan to blow across it. If mounting on wall, make heat exhaust up through the multiple grill holes. If mounting on shelf, increae height and help mimo antennascusing a tin can such as 14oz or 28 oz upside down empty tomato sauce can. This will absorb heat, help antennas, and look nice too if you bling it up.
Nothing. Motorola are being poopy heads. The router just stops working and blinks blue, so they say it's a "server issue" meanwhile they lower the price of the entire thing. Something fishy going on...
Yeah something is up with this router. Worked fine when I first got it then completely stopped working. Researched that the company stopped supporting it and took the server down for "maintenance". Then it eventually came back but is noticably worse with connection dropping on command every hour or so. Then the price mysteriously went down after this.
@@MiguelDominguezGarcia Yes they "work" but constantly drop connection. Just replaced whole set with Netgear mesh system working way better. My suggestion: stay away from motorola.
@@bickleyjonas6145 the thing is i cant add the extender with motosync or minim app. It says error and the extender is close to the router literally touching between them.
Can you do a video step by step in how you set those routers?

Update November 2023 Motorola is having application software issues now for a couple of weeks. CS is working on a 'server' issue.

Does it have a web interface or only an app
Did you have problems getting the extenders to scan in? I’m about to throw these things because they won’t connect!
Mine keeps saying I’m offline. I know I’m not.
I’m having the same issue smh. I literally have these extenders right next to my router and i still can’t get them to connect smh
Try doing factory reset. I had mine hooked up to another modem and switched and they also wouldn't connect
Someone got extenders to work?
Does this connect through Alexa or Google?
How to factory restore this please ?
Can someone got extenders working? I have reset them, tried with motosync and minim app no success only the router is working….
compre el pack de 3 y la app no lo reconoce
Han podido configurar el router? No lo reconoce la pagina

Saw mixed answers on that so I asked on Amazon product page. Received mixed answers again 🤦♂️
@@bickleyjonas6145 Motorola told me cannot be turned off.
So after a little research supposedly wifi 6 is backwards compatible, meaning any device can connect to it regardless of if it supports wifi 6 or not.
Great product!

What color eternity cord should I use. I'm using a green one. I didn't know there was a difference.
Can I use it with a tp link modem? Or it has to be Motorola as well ?
Es mejor usar un extensor tplink que sea del mismo ambiente
I’m not tech savvy enough for this how to
What do you do when the app no longer works?

MINIM maker of these is going out of business. Product no longer supporter, login and app does not work as expected. Don't buy these.
What's the point in having a 4500 ft² house? I don't get it. Pride ego the room is definitely not needed
We use every square inch of our home. I have a big family and family that visit frequently
Gavin why do you care?
Yea, why does this bother you? Better to be looking at it, then looking for it!!
People have big families. What's the point of this comment?
