They caught me in this too doin work to the commies. I’m going to report this.

0:48 the English sub doesn't get the phrase right. He says the pot needs to keep cooking until the meat is done. A rather brutal way of putting it...

Don’t watch it then
is it a localized german phrase? really should've kept it in, adds another layer of horrific beauty.
The word he uses "kessel" (cauldron) was also the grim name the troops gave to the encircled area in Stalingrad. No way in or out except via air.
Yeah, the word Kessel (cauldron) means encirclement in German in general.
Damn, that was bleak. Likely accurate, but still unsettling on all sides.
There's a photo of a statue of smiling children holding jands with a backdrop of a destroyed city. That gets me, too.
Уникальная немецкая кинохроника битвы за Москву. Операция "Тайфун" (1941)
that picture is the square in the centre of Stalingrad and the statues are part of a well in its middle
This is the only war movie people really need to see, along with Das Boot, Saving Private Ryan, and all the other classics.
Top quality.
Inglorious Basterds?
Meanwhile it went up to 90 degrees here yesterday and it’s going to be about the same today. I’ll take this over Stalingrad’s temperature.
same here
They're forecasting mid-90's, here, in Orlando, for next week. Great; August heat, and humidity, during early May.
Уникальная немецкая кинохроника битвы за Москву. Операция "Тайфун" (1941)
when i did my service i`ve spend 2 weeks outside on maneuvers with up to - 30 degrees Celsius. i`ve never complained about being cold ever since. fitting since my great grandpa went missing in stalingrad...
I think they have a couple of movies especially about north Africa and the extreme heat, if you wanna take a look, perhaps that'll change your kind. I rather go through cold then brutal humid 100 degree plus weather.
The subtitles aren't accurate at all.
Also, is this a cut version? I remember him saying "beschissene 36 Mark".
I don’t speak German but I do know what you mean since in the one I watched, the military police says something along the lines of “you scared to go the front eh?” And Fritz says “we just came from the fucking front you fuck!” Something like that.
Actually hm maybe these subtitles are correct since even the scripts I see that it says what it is in the subtitles.
@@vascotank2143 these subtitles are not correct. For example in one scene he is saying "the couldron is for cooking until the meat is tender/cooked" and it's subtitled as "the funs not over yet".
@@Benzi514 ah fair enough, like I said I don’t know enough German expect a few things, I know Latvian though but I’ve seen the movie so many times so haha that’s my 2 cents
@@vascotank2143 did you find the original script in german? Where can we read it?
Bad luck for those guys. Hoth didn't make it close enough and Paulus was too reluctant to disobey the Führerbefehl and break out of Stalingrad towards Hoth.
Hello! I recently watched you're clip "Bravo Two Zero - Pressing the Attack" Is it from an American cut? I'm asking because the battle scene is slightly extended (e.g. more kills) than the UK version
This scene i remember i seen Tiger I and Flak 88 and Pak 43
Cracking film
This was my Walmart night shift.
Pay? Where would you spend it in Stalingrad?
The money would go into their banks
Уникальная немецкая кинохроника битвы за Москву. Операция "Тайфун" (1941)
for their family at home
at the "Marketender" (army convenience service) or with the local population for getting food or paying for services like washing/mending clothes or simply with gambling.
@@AlexHalt100 Or to fight the inglorious basterds
Looking at the still of this video I thought the German looking in was Benny Hill.
Relatable
How did the payment system work?
As a soldier you get a "soldbuch" a piece of paper with two purposes
-its your Military ID including you name etc, your rank and unit
- its a dairy for you payments.
Most of the time you didnt get the full payment at the frontline, most of the "sold" is transfered to your bankaccount back home
Benny Hill in stalingrado?
What's Benny Hill doing there?
Wonder if roleder survived
Уникальная немецкая кинохроника битвы за Москву. Операция "Тайфун" (1941)
Really good movie. But these scenes are really terryfing. The pure horror of war.
Inglorious Basterds
I'm here for muneh. Muneh! I don't speak German neither!
am i the only one who think the dub isn't actually use german language? the mouth and word doesn't synchronize
I feel cheated. Came for WW2 movie; got documentary footage of Russian Federation in Ukraine.
LoL
Stalingrad's deep within Russia, Caucasus almost. Ukraine had a different, similar battle in WW2. Over 300,000 civilians were used, some without weapons, to storm Kiev's outer defenses and take back the city. Communism will always treat you as a commodity, to be expended...
The movie perfectly portray the current situation of Ukrainian soldier in the frontline
Now.. we got shit in the Gaza… just saying.
Second pin!!

@@ghostv1999 it`s Jawohl. O then H

Уникальная немецкая кинохроника битвы за Москву. Операция "Тайфун" (1941)
That's bullshit. There is no sentiment against the Russian people. We are just aware what Hitler 2.0 is trying to attempt.
