I never even knew it was apart of an amazng album until recently I got recommended a video essay on it and wanted to listen to all of it. Simon was in one of the towers when they were hit. (I was a victim of magic) He was stuck under rubble, bleeding and probably thought he was going to die but he was saved and saw the sun for the first time in what felt like forever. I think it's that the girl commited suicide due to the built-up mental issues, and he was the only one who saw that happen, so he decided to keep it to himself until the guilt got to him and the pressure and trauma was too much that he got schizophrenia. So he just admitted it and then goes to court.
