This doll is awesome! I am an older adult who just got back into doll collecting last year, so I missed the MH years. I ordered Frankie and will definitely be ordering Draculaura as long as she stays on the site long enough. I agree $60 would be more reasonable, but compared to collector Barbies, the price is on par.
It's being Mattel Creations exclusives that's the problem

I've bought Frankie and can't wait till we can also buy Clawdeen and Draculaura! That said, we know Cleo and Lagoona will also be part of Haunt Couture line later this year, but I'm hoping that other ghouls like Spectra, Abbey, Operetta & Jinafire will be added to the line. And they also need to include Ghoulia.

It took longer for Frankie because unlike the previous Skullector dolls, she had a larger number of dolls.
Gotta love the fact that most people /like me/ were kids when MH was at its best 2012-2013 AKA we couldn't afford them unless parents would be giving which in my case was eh. Yeah i have 5 dolls mostly 1-2 wave. But its so frustrating how all doll collectors and reviewers will praise these even though the quality is the same as 13 wishes and Ghouls Rule. And on top of it they get them for free even though they can clearly afford them. Call me jealous and immature but it's just sad man. It's sad shady and feeds of nostalgia and people will still give in because of that. I love Draculaura and I'd love to have her but man. MAN does the price just hurt and feels unjustified on every single level. And no, "dolls getting more expensive to produce" doesn't cut it for me. If we'd actually have the numbers what it costs for them to produce this 50% plastic 50% fabric I think we'd be very surprised on just how much are these overpriced.
Lily Cheng was already in my opinion a joke considering she came with same things as a regular RH + some tiny details. But this? Nostalgia bait. I'm glad people are not sucking mattel's ** and voice their opinions about the quality and prices. But the reviewers? (not specifically aimed at anyone talking in general) glance over the price and will continue praising this like it's never been done.
I personally think draculara and clawdeen are my favorite when it comes to design and honesty because she is one of my favorite characters
My mom surprised me with her and I'm so happy. But sadly she came with her lip paint ever so slightly melted onto the plastic AND IT MAKES ME SO MAD even the dolls I've played with for 10 years have their face paint fine. But the 80 dollar dolls have so many defects LIKE WTF
I loved this Draculaura. But what bothers me a little, is her birthmark on her cheek, it's not painted inside the heart like the previous dolls were, so it looks like she did it as makeup, and not that she was born with the mark.
It's not the first time she has an empty birth mark, I do hope one day there's a very goth Draculaura with broken heart birth mark(but not a dark recolor of her signature doll ala 13 Wishes).
@@tofanpurnomowaisaka503 Elissabat originally had a broken heart mark! It was removed when i was decided she and Ula weren't related (I believe they were cousins in original concepts?) ;)

I missed out on Frankie, because I didn’t even know about these dolls and wasn’t on Mattel Creations email list for Monster High. When I saw a review video announcing their release Frankie was gone. I debated about Clawdeen, because she’s $75, plus nearly $7 for shipping and nearly $6 for taxes and she was $87 and change after all that…at least for me. Draculaura is actually my favorite one and if I can I’ll try to get her and I’m also excited about Cleo. However, they’re competing with MGA with the name brand look-a-like accessories and the rooted eyelashes, but MGA does it for less and Mattel is playing on original collector’s nostalgia and plan on them buying the dolls.
It’s nice that RUclipsrs like you are getting all the dolls for free, but most of you don’t talk about the price since you got your dolls free and you don’t have to try to get one before they’re sold out. I know you guys work hard for your RUclips career, but sometimes it feels like you guys don’t know what it’s like for everyone else who actually has to pay for the dolls.(

You're such a saviour for artists with these videos - I'm drawing the girls in their new outfits and there's so many details I can't make out in the promo shots. Since I didn't manage to get any of the dolls, your videos are my best reference.
Honestly, this is just a playline doll. Like don't get me wrong I absolutely love her design but come on, the barely-painted shoes are barely holding on compared to the shoes that rainbow high has been pumping out. This isn't really couture, it's camp which is still super fun but LOL OMG regularly puts out camp looks at a $30 price point. To me, these dolls should be $40 max, and it sucks to see Mattel trying to suck us dry like this because it makes me nervous about what the quality will be like for the playline dolls.

I have almost all of the first wave dolls that I bought back when they came out. I bought a second release Draculaura and put her on a Bunny Blanc(ever after high) body and she is as short as Draculaura is in the MH animations. I hope that they start releasing the playline MH dolls, again, that are like the original quality. I hope that they learned their lesson about dumbing these dolls down.

My only chances of getting her is her price point. Draculaura is by far the most popular monster high character. a lot of people can’t afford the $75 price tag since it’s targeted to teens, I couldn’t even afford the $25 price tags they had back in the day so it doesn’t shock me. but I was a teen when monster high dolls originally came out so now that this
New one came out, I have the adult money to spend on her. if she were a regular $25 I would never get my hands on one. It’s like a reward for living long enough to be an adult 😭

She’s so pretty. I just wish she cost a little less….honestly OMG serves the same quality of fashion for much less…I bought Frankie. I don’t regret it, but I had to pass on Clawdeen…because of, like, rent and phone bill and toilet paper and food! I love Draculara’s design tho. There are so many great doll lines out right now…it’s almost stressful deciding where to splurge and where to…gah….pass. 😫

How did you find a monster high doll!!!!!
It was a PR package. Frankie was dropped Friday and is sold out but I don't think there is a release date for Draculaura or Clawdeen yet. These are collectors dolls sold on the Mattel Creations website only but later this year new play line dolls are supposed to be released in stores.
