I never understood casseroles. It looked ready to eat before you loaded it into the casserole dish and covered it with the other stuff (which could have been added on top on the plate before it was baked). The actual pasta dish sounds great without spending more time to bake it. Sorry I guess I just don’t understand the usefulness of casseroles. I’ll try the dish without the baking though since it sounds fine to me.

@@mariegreen2203 Yes you can eat it right from the pan as it is all cooked. Bust just like simmering chili or a stew the flavors develop and become even tastier when cooked a little more. If you are taking it to a potluck or placing it on a buffet table at home, baking it helps it to stay warmer longer. Enjoy!

@@NutmegNotebook I agree if taking it to a potluck the baking would help keep it warm longer etc. it’s just me eating this way so I would just eat it alone. I rarely go anywhere that requires me to bring something for a potluck. I also never cared for baking things with either breadcrumbs or Parmesan so that is an extra step that others may like but not me. I’m trying a new recipe np tonight from Plant you Scrappy. It should be interesting and different.

At 9:30 she says you can eat it as is. Then goes on to explain when and why she puts it in a casserole dish. Either way is fine. And you can eat it how ever you want to but you don't need to comment to complain/criticize the video. Just do you.
