  • A feasible solution to change the back glass on the Google Pixel 7 Pro. The back glass on the Pixel 7 Pro is sealed using liquid plastic and hot plastic, making the glass removal extremely hard. The difficulty level is 9.5 out of 10 for this repair. Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7 back glass repairs should be identical.

    That's the hardest repair i ever see man

      🤣 yes. Indeed not sure why they do it this way. Even with Apple the wireless coil is not glued to the glass. There's a very thin plastic covering it (here it's glued) making it extremely difficult to repair the phone without damage. Using a laser machine will make the repair a lot easier but nobody will buy a laser machine to repair (1) phone.

      I suppose they just want to finish the repair market. Low battery quality and slow charge should be made for long battery life without repairment for the same reason. But credits for you man, good job on repairing.

      Thanks. I think Google doesn't want us to repair our pixel devices 😁 but for me its a challenge I like to take and provide the easiest solution to fix them.

    Honestly, for $15 more you can just buy an entire housing/back cover with the wireless coil/NFC built in, and then you just transfer the components and screen to it. Easier imo. Especially if your screen is broken too, then it's a no brainer.

      I agree specifically if the screen is broken. Removing a good screen is 50 50 as pixel screens are the worse in term of durability. The frame is too thin and most people would damage the screen during the removal process ( I damaged my new Pixel 8 Pro screen while doing the teardown other had the same experience).
      Transferring all components is good and equally as time consuming as doing the back glass only. Your statement is right 👍🏽. Hopefully Google changed the design with the Pixel 9 Pro and 9.

      I should have done this. My buddy gave me one with a broken screen and back. I got the screen and fixed it already thinking the back glass wouldn't be too hard boy was I wrong LOL I may just leave it cracked after looking at this...

    Interesting . So with a laser machine is it easier ?

    • @ersbit
      @ersbit  7 месяцев назад +1

      It should be easier as all the glue would be burned and the glass removal would not be hard. The wireless charging circuit and nfc cable also will be easily removed without doing all the stuff I did.

    What about the top part of the back glass, how to do it?

    • @ersbit
      @ersbit  6 месяцев назад

      I did the top part on the Pixel 6 Pro. It should be the same for the Pixel 7 Pro. There should not be any component in that area. So if you use alcohol instruction in the bottom part it will work on the upper glass too. Very easy remove it add b7000 and seal back.
