I just bought a Cricut Maker. Your channel is awesome; so informative. It’ll be helpful as I’m learning all about the Cricut Maker. TYFS your talents, Jennifer!
Thank you Jennifer. I just downloaded the file. It will be my first try on a glass block. I use a scan n cut. But you explain so well that I know I can do it. ❤❤❤ thank you
I really like the way you divided the glass block to really look like window panes. I need to do another one that I have seen this. And it seems like I watched this before and just forgot about it. TY Jennifer.
Awe, I'm so sad I missed the pre edit version. I'm still fairly new to your channel but I want to tell you how grateful I am to have found it. I absolutely love watching, learning, and ultimately being inspired to create thanks to you. I was actually crafting with my Cricut Maker while watching this video and at the very moment that your message came on at the end I was holding something that I was frustrated with. I was literally having a bit of a break down asking myself "why do I do this anyway" when I heard your words. Thanks for the encouraging words and reminder to embrace the process as well as the product.
You are just the sweetest thing on earth! I was so excited when I saw this video because I already have a glass block and wasn’t sure what to do with it. Now I’m pumped up to get crafting. Thank Jennifer 😊
Lol I’m new here and I thought that you just normally leave in some funny bits to your videos. I love seeing the process even the silly stuff. Keep it real, you’re great at this! 💜
I love this so much! I have a glass block that I've had for years and it's sitting in a craft cabinet. Now I know what I'm going to do with it. Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorial! You're the best!
Watching some of your past videos as a new Cricut owner ☺️ This would be so cute as if you were looking IN the window as well, like a toy store, candy shop, etc.
Loved that you said that you are a fearless crafter. I have used those exact words to describe myself. Hey, maybe that would make a great next project.... "Fearless Crafter....Creating something new evedyday and lovin' it"
I’ve always wanted to decorate a Glass Block similar to yours. It’s adorable and I love how you put vinyl designs on both sides of the block for a 3D look. I’m definitely going to have to try this come Christmas
Yay! I'd love for you to share your finished project with us! You can share it in our crafters Facebook group! The link to it is in the description above. :)
I love that you did the back of the block clever!! and I made a tag last year for a gift exchange and another one this year they are awesome!!! you are so funny and so great at doing the videos!! :)
Thanks for the wonderful tutorial! Also thank you for the encouragement about mistakes - I'm a horrible perfectionist and I often don't start a craft because I am afraid I will mess it up. I need to learn to be a fearless maker!
Aww it took me a moment to realize it was you! Miss hearing your voice. This is super poised and professional. Good job! My colleague made one of these and I’m trying to learn how :-).
Weeding is one of my most enjoyable things to do as it shows the final result. I would love to know how you cut just the one snowflake, that would be a nice video. I try to never missed one of your videos, you do a great job. Thank you
Hi Jennifer, Wow! I just watched your whole video on making glass blocks using your Cricut and I loved it! 😍 You're so good at explaining and showing what you are doing but I don't think I can ever learn to use a Cricut! Is there any other little machine I can use to cut vinyl like that? I'm so much "old school" ... Thank you so much for sharing 😊

I am doing football teams on glass blocks, but banging my head(literally) on this project, because i wanted the pictures to really pop out, I was thinking using 3d paint after i outline the picture with my circuit. any thoughts, or ideas would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I simply Love your Tutorial. I usually watch others( how to do), but I usually go to the next before finishing it. But i stayed at the end for yours, cause it kept me interested, and simply love your laugh. Keep doing what your doing.
Hi Jennifer. I am trying to do this on my Cricut Air2 but when I select make it, it tells me that "Project Incompatible...the project is not supported by my current machine selection, to resolve press ok and adjust the effected layers. Can you explain this to me please. Thank you.....Love your tutorials by the way, they are fantastic x
Did you get everything taken care of, Diane? I'm confused! Project incompatible means that you either need to make sure that you have your particular machine chosen in the setup menu, or that, for some reason, you can't do this project on your Cricut. Are you a member of our Facebook group? I'd suggest asking in there! We've got so many talented and experienced crafters in there who are so helpful and I'm sure can point you in the right direction. 😍 Head to the group here: facebook.com/groups/cricutcraftersandmakers/
I think I'd like to keep the design minimal and then etch over top the vinyl, remove the vinyl and have it be clear in those places while the rest of the glass is frosted. I've drilled holes in glass with a diamond bit which is easy to do under water in the sink and use the 10" craft lights that you can use plugging them in so they last without batteries.
I hope it works! I tried etching the glass front to frost it and it was a not nice look. i ended up buying the frost spray and sealing it multiple times to keep it from scratching.. I swear i end up doing everything the hard way! lol
I am doing this project for my son and his family. I'd like to make it a red window with all the white detail and I'd also like to add red behind the white trees and Santa. Is there an easy way to add that red or should I just lay the white on top of red vinyl? I'd love your assist!

aw...man! Wish I knew they sold these easy blocks at craft stores. I already made one with a normal glass block that I had to drill a hole in! I had to buy a special diamond tip drill bit ($29 bucks!). While I can still insert the fairy lights, that's about all you can put in. Oh, well... But I least I learned how to drill glass!

If my block is 7.5x7.5, what dimensions should I resize all the parts (window pane, snow, etc)?
