Great video, I think you hit the nail on the head/described the differences well. I have a USA 61 (maestro trem), as well as a custom shop 61’. Both are fantastic in their own right, but the CS 61’ is going to my grave with me. Great vid!
I much prefer the VOS/Murphy Reissues over the regular Custom Shop line. There’s a lot more attention to detail and actual differences in the VOS over the USA than the regular Custom Shop to the USA line. But those are just my thoughts. Cheers -Ryan

Can we change it into a bat guard？I found that many people like bat guard, but there is no longer a reissue of the SG from the late 1960s.
I’m sure you could get a custom guard for it. Or do a made2measure for a 1966 SG Standard if you wanted something more period correct. Cheers -Ryan
Try to find heavier SGs, they are usually 3,3 kilos - they have no neck dives. Looks like it's just depends from a body piece.
I wear a leather strap, rather than nylon… no real issue. I prefer the ‘64 as well. Cheers -Ryan
