The birch gives more sticks and less logs vs spruce gives more logs and less sticks. This game has some nice cool updates. Have to start playing it again. Use to play it 6-8 months ago.

Sounds super creepy irl, especially at night or in the fog, the game does a great job of recreating that feeling. Makes the hair on the back of your neck stand on end if you're not familiar with it.
I think you should definitely read the dialogue. It's crucial to gameplay. Skipping the travel time is fine, but you should definitely show at least the first time going somewhere. I love this game. Can't wait to see more.

I agree it was fairly void of such things and with recent updates some things have changed to the point where, even though I've played a lot of it, I had to re-learn some things.
Either or is find with me though I do prefer quicker flow of gameplay unless you kind of infuse the dialogue with characteristics like voice acting. Speeding up the travel time is good but you are right it slows things way down. You can lengthen the day and add days to the gameplay.

No, Raft was made by Redbeet and this was made by Render Cube. They came out in that "everyone has an idea for a survival game" decade where every game felt reskinned. The building is similar to Stranded Deep, The Forest, The Infected, Mist Survival, and a bunch of others. Good question though. I hadn't actively thought about it before now.

@MarcoSimple1Videos it isn't possible to build near another city. You're supposed to basically build your own. You can't stay in any NPC houses that you don't build. The game recently had a multiplayer update, at least in the experimental branch, but it's still tied to the story I think so not really sandbox. But you don't have to play the story at all. Ask anything else you want. I'll reply when I can.
Well, I have the basic game because I didn't see the value in the soundtrack (I don't like music in my game when I can help it), and I certainly didn't need a physical guide to a game that has had MAJOR updates frequently. So I personally don't find the value in it but I do on occasion do the supporters bundles but it is rare. I prefer DLC that adds SOMETHING to the game, and this is not that. I obviously leave the final decision up to you but that's my two cents.
I've tried that a little in some episodes and the one that comes out tomorrow has some too... Let me know if that's more what you had in mind whenever you get there.

Thank you so much. Trees regrow every 2-3 years if you leave the stumps, otherwise they're gone for good. It seems to be random for the regrowth too not like "birch grows back fast while maple takes longer"
Oh, and the way I have things setup, (don't know if you've seen my season one setup video) years can last 12-120 in game days and I have my seasons set to 30 days. So my trees will grow back in 240-360 in game days (if I did the math right). I prefer to play with elongated game times BUT it also makes the game MUCH harder.

Is this a good game…? Just started and these quests have me running 700m to pick up a shovel, run it back, run back another 700m because someone wants to tell me something. Next quest, check a caravan that’s 1300m away! I want to like this…
It IS a good game and your first few quests are poorly designed to run you all over the map and introduce you to what's going on. Once you get into the "just past early game" you can relax and focus on you and only what you want to do. Follow Dynasty quests to unlock everything that is locked behind a quest and by the time you get to a quest to "have and heir" it slows down to be as little or as much as you'd like.

Gameplay is almost 100% the same it's just that you're limited by the console limitations so you won't be able to have quite as many buildings as I do but otherwise, everything translates. i dont want to watch a video when it comes to a game like this, i would rather the content creator focus on immersion and be the character. If your going to go with this style, i would recommend having a bit more enthusiasm in your voice, idk like maybe act like you actually want to make the video. i played this for about a day maybe two then i felt like i got everything out of it that im gunna get, it really is a sandbox with not much going on.

@MarcoSimple1Videos it isn't possible to build near another city. You're supposed to basically build your own. You can't stay in any NPC houses that you don't build. The game recently had a multiplayer update, at least in the experimental branch, but it's still tied to the story I think so not really sandbox. But you don't have to play the story at all.

Well, I have the basic game because I didn't see the value in the soundtrack (I don't like music in my game when I can help it), and I certainly didn't need a physical guide to a game that has had MAJOR updates frequently. So I personally don't find the value in it but I do on occasion do the supporters bundles but it is rare. I prefer DLC that adds SOMETHING to the game, and this is not that. I obviously leave the final decision up to you but that's my two cents.

Thank you so much. Trees regrow every 2-3 years if you leave the stumps, otherwise they're gone for good. It seems to be random for the regrowth too not like "birch grows back fast while maple takes longer"
Oh, and the way I have things setup, (don't know if you've seen my season one setup video) years can last 12-120 in game days and I have my seasons set to 30 days. So my trees will grow back in 240-360 in game days (if I did the math right). I prefer to play with elongated game times BUT it also makes the game MUCH harder.

Is this a good game…? Just started and these quests have me running 700m to pick up a shovel, run it back, run back another 700m because someone wants to tell me something. Next quest, check a caravan that’s 1300m away! I want to like this…
It IS a good game and your first few quests are poorly designed to run you all over the map and introduce you to what's going on. Once you get into the "just past early game" you can relax and focus on you and only what you want to do. Follow Dynasty quests to unlock everything that is locked behind a quest and by the time you get to a quest to "have and heir" it slows down to be as little or as much as you'd like.
Do the dialogue your pretty good at it and it helps new players . And sped up travel to each location

@@ctrlaltsilent it’s my problem not theirs,,, it’s a war on the ears … I enjoy the game playing as it helps to decide if it’s for you or not,, majority of gamers that post on here are loud and it sad to say loose a lot on the game as they tend to talk about themselves and just fast play…. There are a few that are enjoyable to watch but they have a certain type of game they like to play,,, which again isn’t their problem….

Gameplay is almost 100% the same it's just that you're limited by the console limitations so you won't be able to have quite as many buildings as I do but otherwise, everything translates. I just want to say, don't ask your viewers about everything you want to do because if you'll listen to everybody's opinion you're not gonna get anywhere and make shorter videos, they are more likeable to be watched by more people, big numbers scare most people, peace

No mods. I made a video explaining the settings I tweaked when we started and why. I also screwed up on three settings as well but those have since been fixed.

i dont want to watch a video when it comes to a game like this, i would rather the content creator focus on immersion and be the character. If your going to go with this style, i would recommend having a bit more enthusiasm in your voice, idk like maybe act like you actually want to make the video. I was not retained and these are the reasons why.
or in otherwords, make the video less about you and more about the game. or be more enthusiastic in your attitude if your going to make it about yourself and your content. I am a nobody but i felt that i should at least share my thoughts as, that is the point right?
