Yes I remember. I was in heading south
Scary , all exit ramps were closed, felt trapped with a new puppy not knowing how long her bladder would last
It ended well because the plows slowly opened lanes. So glad to be back in MO
Lived in Northfield & Owatonna for a few years...35W is always treacherous during snow storms. Semi's in the ditch are always a clue.
So r people able to get home safe now?? Were there any injuries? 😫😫
Thankful I live in Florida
You guys?are brave i got caught in a blizzard on bus from omaha to Sioux city overnite in yhmmthe howling wind and drifting snow until snowplow got us out
Damn that snow it never wants to end in the Midwest from southeast wisc
Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan Three states that get hit frequently with a slight warm up followed by a heavy freezing rain/snow.... Which tends to happen overnight. The result is roads with a snow top and a ice base that is difficult to see until you are on it. Always gets me that on snow folks drive in two extremes.... Really fast like their hair's on fire, or really slow which makes them a block in the road. Normally you just have to drive just a bit under the speed limit, don't tailgate, tires with tread, take any curve slow (especially if it's a overpass or elevated) and no sudden moves. If you see a lot of vehicles slowing down a lot ahead DONT slam on the brakes! Turn on your hazzard lights and take your foot off the gas and gently press the brake lightly if you start to skid just take foot off the brake and drive straight (you put on the hazzard so folks behind you know your driving very slow and there is some obstacle ahead.. or your the obstacle)
Some day all vehicles will have V2V systems which would warn drivers of stopped vehicles ahead which they can’t yet see. About 20 years ago I heard of a multiple car pileup on I-35 south of the Twin Cities and called my cousin who I knew was driving up that road. He took the next exit and used country roads. An ambulance with its lights on passed on the highway just as he was taking the exit.
I don't take off my winter tires till May 😆
I dont take mine off ever.
Growing up in Buffalo, I've seen a few times when it snowed on Easter
Sunny and 89 here in San Antonio-getting warm!
These storms happen every year in april. Its Minnesota. It snows. Then it gets hot. Then it snows. Its Minnesota.
If you cannot drive on snow. Stay at
Home,,,,,
I remember that storm. I went home and slept
Seems like there’s always a fed-ex or a swift truck in the ditch!!
Well ditch or kill someone, or just pay attention....
Because collectively they run thousands of units.
With the number of Fed-ex n Swift trucks on the road?..you're going to see it..stop bashing either!!
Fed-Ex Ground uses many foreigner contractors, and Swift driving school 'graduates'.
i guess i have to play it again and again.
how could i miss those big trucks in this video.
is this CNN or the other alphabet channels?
by golly, i think my eyes are deceiving me.
Stay safe everyone! 💜✌️🥶🙏🏼
You beat me to it!
Nice to stormchasingVideo
We are in San Diego. Left the snow shovel behind.
Gps?
Try driving in conditions like that at night on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It's an interesting experience.
Yeah, live in PA myself. Been on PA turnpike myself, seen so many in my time being a truck driver.
It doesn't appear that there's a lot of snow. I wonder what would happen if they got a 37-inch snow storm like the ones we sometimes get here in Connecticut?
Ice.
Ma le catene dove l'avete?
Reminds me why I quit driving tractor trailer!
Me too 6 years ago 😎
Wow winter 🥶 never end 🌱🕊🌱♥️🐕♥️
Two MN patrol officers were injured. And they just started fixing the center barrier this last week.
Y'all are some hearty people up there.....I'm guessing that the people in the ditch are not from around there.
what a mess! hope you're home now, drinking a hot beverage !
Saludos el clima se ve maravilloso.te saludo desde Colombia
Being born in Massachusetts, I always find it hilarious when entire states shut down over a couple inches of snow and sleet. In order for my kids school's to cancel classes there needs to be at least 6+ inches already on the ground. Same with work, 2 feet of snow on the ground? Better be on time lol.
Did the semi just not have chains or something ? Seem dangerous when it’s that bad out especially after you’ve slid off the road already.
chains are not allowed in mn
Ok, I really enjoy your videos, and shouldn't complain. But I have one problem with all of them. They are too short!! When they end, it's like a pie in my face. So, with that being said, take it as a good complaint. :) happy new year!!
I LITTERALY LOVE SNOW STORMS 😁😼
Did anyone think about Jack knifed trucks
Watching this is giving me major anxiety 🥶, got to go
Да, такая погода создаёт некоторые трудности, но, несмотря на это, хорошо прогуляться в такой снежности и туманности
With snow this bad, I would be sitting in a nice
warm truck stop, cafe drinking hot coffee, and
telling naughty jokes to the waitresses . . . . .
Ain't no LOAD EVER worth anybody's LIFE ,
Especially MINE . . . . .
Barbusie - love your comment. lmao
Those waitresses have herd every dirty joke and plus they were the ones who made them up.
Why didn’t semi have Chains?
Can't run them in Minnesota
We were caught in the outskirts of this luckily we made it home before it hit
Wow now have a big ol scv on the middle of the screen. Geez.
The commercial on tv for my car shows it going thru deep snow, why can’t I?
I'm glad that Winter is over and the snow is gone here in Ohio...or at least I hope....Spring time has begun....Winter was way too long this year....
@John John Sorry to hear that :(
Wish we could get snow like this in Texas.
All you had to do is wait until the Polar Vortex of 2021.
Brilliant
Cars stuck AGAIN?? Yep fools never learn.
Nope they never will either!
Is it just me or no chains
winter is here!!!!
They rarely shut down the Norwegian 500.
This is the month of April and this is happening. I feel bad for these people.
None of these "accidents" would happen if people would just slow down for the conditions. Even at 20-25mph your still moving along and not sitting in a ditch.
1:50 - Good engine! 👍
Oh-My-God😰
Fyi we were almost buried in sbow
Can you get them wipers are go a little faster
Scary stuff to be teraining through.....dont forget to bring your caution!.....lol
Cracks me up…..you have to have signs telling people to slow down. People still tailgating, taking turns too fast etc
Humanity is doomed!
Tractor drivers (a lot of them) are thinking they are indestructible. Life proves them otherwise.
seems to me that a lot of people don't know how to drive in those conditions.
Nobody has their lights on! WTF!
A few don't. Most do.
What a mess
Ice-age?
Why do these guys not have chains for tires ? All these stuck semi trucks would cruise right along with chains on.
Dont know how to use chains ? What good
In July they'll announce a salt surplus that they never used
Why don't these trucks have chains on their drive tires?.
Slush is slicker than powder. I don't care where you're born.
Yea I went past there north bound just as the wrecks were starting. I really like the way Swift and Fed-Ex are always featured in videos like this! To be fair, anything with those “swingin’ doors” is easy game to be picked on! For example: There is a road that parallels I-35 about where it was closed Wednesday that has a low trestle over it. You can see where this is going right? Yep!!! The first door swinger that came along and that road was plugged also!!!
Truckers should carry bags of turkey grit. It got our garbage man's truck unstuck lol
I carry chains all year round. They are not that hard to put on. I just choose to park it over putting them on. Can not trust other drivers to not slide into you from the Me First Syndrome they have.
I can't see so let's go faster🤦♂️🤦♀️
I wouldn't be caught in this strom no way
I got caught in the snow many years ago and that was in the City. There was no Met warning about it . It started out snowing lightly where the traffic was keeping the main roads clear, it was rush hour traffic, which is a myth nowadays because rush hour can last 3 hours these days. But then it started to snow heavily and before we knew it people were having trouble negotiating sloping roads. I was driving a van and my van slid over to the Kerbside and that was it, wheels spun and van was going nowhere. Vans are the absolute worse vehicle to drive in the snow when empty. When empty they just glide over the snow. If you have some good weight in them they are really very good at driving in the snow, empty they are a disaster. Same for many 30-40 foot containers. You see them Jack knife very easily in the snow when they have an empty trailer. If they have a load onboard they are much better at handling the conditions. People with rear wheel drive cars should put as much weight as possible in their rear boot compartment if they need to drive in the snow. The extra weight will give the car much better traction. I know that from experience.
Winter storms are warehouses of water table. Four wheelers cannot get beyond 15 miles an hour lowest gear safety.
Not done yet. Check out Mike Morales channel.
What a MESS
Here we go again! More snow and l will die :-/
I pray with faith all will be well for you and yours!🌄
Happens every year
This doesn’t even explain how bad snow gets in the faribault area and people don’t know how to stay on the road that well either
I hate it when they don't have the headlights on...so dumb
To!the semi, chain up. Simple.
Throw some chains on if you want to drive in that
They are not allowed in Midwest.. only in mountain states.
LoL global warming FTW!!! Its in the 50's here in Anchorage, Alaska that day.
How can the globe be warming when there are extreme temperature drops and a mega mid-April blizzard?

Why dont these poorly educated truck drivers pull over before the storm hits?
Now go watch the Russians drive in the snow storm. It’s so funny
In eastern Siberia not a lot of paved roads and freeways. In this weather cars sit in frozen mud.
You poor americans are living in a real night mare. Will it ever end?
why do you ay that? Because it snows in the north?
@@danstrayer111 You have a lot of crying for the wolf people and the continent is built for violent weather shifting. Now the wolf is no doubt with you shaking you with it´s mighty jaws and how can you get rid of it?

@@danstrayer111 I can´t send you that, it`s coming from my special personal perfume made in my body for snaring sweet girls.

Hey CLEAN HARBORS SEMI ROLL OFF slide that box a little forward and walk out of that like a big dog
Minnesota deserves it for electing the politicians you have. Embarrassment to the country!
@@StormChasingVideo I hear you.
Screw the weather. MN is the home of Ilhan Omar. Enough said 😷
I bet they'd love some Global Warming
