Ooh... ooh...*
(Oh, I)
Ooh... ooh... ooh... ooh... ooh... ooh...
(Oh, I)
(I miss you, baby)

These kids will NEVER understand the greatness of the music we grew up to, and it saddens me!!!
They will never be touched like this deep down if we don’t share with them their music is trash. No reverence to the woman and expression of deep love
All you gotta do is show them really
as one of those “ kids “ i really do enjoy this music. nothing short of greatness.
the music is still available to listen to and the beautiful thing about music is that it never dies! music this good will always be able to touch ppl no matter how long it's been
They stay married for two years...and boom, they are divorced....... The battery life of a mobile phone....

No seriously, why is no artists attempting to make music like this? Same instrumentation, vocal harmony, lyrics made for being in love!!! Why?!?
they do 🥰
That intro...just amazing!!
Teddy looked much older than his age when he was younger, but looked younger than his age when he was older. His voice and sense of musicality were second to none.
The Sound of Philly. Brothers cannot sing like this today, unfortunately. Love our era of music!❤

Sadly we don't get music like this anymore, been replaced by talentless groups and individuals producing music we will forget about in ten minutes unlike this which is different class.
The music industry has been taken over by attorneys, bankers, and business people who know absolutely nothing about music. They just want to make a quick buck off of a bunch of gimmicks.
My theory is that as time goes by the further detached from the roots of music we become. Listen to the artists at the top of the charts today ask yourself do you hear the roots of music? That gospel, soul, jazz, blues sound. Sadly the answer is no.
Musically speaking, this is the absolute worst time to be alive. It's truly sad and horrible. All I listen to is the oldies. 😔😔
All my kids listen to songs like this with me as I work they come and ask me to play it ..😊 so much soul I think the black community literally lost its way when we lost this genre.
Yea we get demonic songs about Wet A** P**sy (WAP) literal polluting degrading trash

This song by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes with I miss you is still one of the greatest song off their 1972 debut album, but at the same time this song is for anyone who is in love or trying to get their woman back and Teddy Pendergrass sang his heart out on this song.

I AM AT A LOST OF WORDS ... WOW! WE WILL NEVER SEE THIS TYPE OF TALENT EVER AGAIN ( SOUL MUSIC )
Love watching original member Lloyd Parks singing co-leads, finest line-up of the Blue Notes.
The entire premise of the song's mood starts and ends with legendary Lloyd Parks'(far left) somber tone ,
a broken hearted man in pure misery. Harold's rap during the middle (remember when I used to take him to ride the pony outside the store) about their small son breaks my heart every time I listen to this record. The composition, Teddy, Harold, Lloyd, Bernie, Larry with TSOP's instrumentation equates to a soul-masterpiece, first of many hits to come for The Blue Notes.
Was lucky enough to see harold melvin and the blue notes and teddy pendergrass. My favorite greatest all time group!!
