Eastenders Legend Laurie Brett Bares All In Calendar Girls On Tour | Loose Women

She was one of Ian Beale’s most notorious wives, and now EastEnders legend Laurie Brett (Jane Beale) joins us to discuss Calendar Girls as she’s on the road as part of the show’s touring production in the lead role of Annie. She’ll also be talking to us about the show’s continued ability to raise awareness of breast cancer and how it's taught her to be comfortable in your own skin. Laurie will also be reflecting on 20 years since making her debut on ‘EastEnders’ and discussing her favourite role to date… which wasn’t in Albert Square.

I was actually suprised how Laurie sounds. I remember her in eastenders years ago with a cockney accent then in Waterloo Road with a Scottish accent. Hearing her now with neither accent is testament to what a great actress she is.

Just saw Calendar Girls a few weeks ago and I have to say, the current cast were an absolutely fantastic fit for each other, the show was fantastic! I did wonder where I’d seen her before, it didn’t click that she was Jane in Eastenders!
