My tribute to Gladys Knight. Originally recorded by Curtis Mayfield, Gladys Knight recorded this for the "Claudine" soundtrack. I recorded this for my father's (Syl Johnson) upcoming project with an orchestra of over 20 musicians. I hope it captures you as much as it captured me.

Syleena sang this song absolutely beautifully. You can hear how moved she is by it. No one sang it better than Curtis for me, but I'd put her version damn close, and I think he would be greatly moved to see how far his music has come and will continue to go.

Me and my bff were so NOT happy with that tribute to Gladys, not to take anything away from those ladies, we felt they needed singers like yourself on that stage! U got 2 go all out 4 her! Some singers may not have even been available, but then I see Jill Scott in the audience! SMH! Seriously?
