I remember listening to the “Closing Time” album by Tom waits and immediately loving it.
With this song and record I always picture it being very late at night, the whole town is asleep, there is one light shining in a bar. There in the corner, on the piano, a singer-songwriter is playing these songs and telling you about his life.
