Thanks for your harvesting video’s. Great concept and working process. Since I will never be able to afford either of these modules, it inspired me to harvest 20+ years of software and hardware synths into borderlands where there is an almost limitless no. Of buffers and clouds that are all modulateable. Using that with mimeophon, databender, beads, and lemon drop and Zoia get’s me in the territory that you are a master at. This is by far the best “synth” channel, highly educational , inspiring, and beautiful music. ‘
It's a great idea to just 'harvest' what you already have and take ordinary sounds (or field recordings) to a completely new level. Arbhar supports loading of external samples too.
Just incredible Robert , watched this last thing at nite so eyes wouldn’t focus so replay tomorrow, your an incredible Electronic Musician what ever you might think, don’t need to play keys well as you prove with these creations, still envious of your module collection to be honest, some I’ll never be able to get EXCELLENTI 👍🆒🎶🕸⚡️🔱👁🌟🌟🌟👽😎👍
Wow - i simply LOVE your aproach , here , with "harvesting" - well, you know how much i like your production in general, and this is just a wonderful continuation of that - superlegit executed ! 🧐 🤠
Thank you so much for your comment! Indeed, 'harvesting' is a super fun approach to make any VCO sound 'polyphonic' :). Since EaganMatrix has ove 500 presets it's an endless source of beauty, organics and mayhem.
Great video... I think the Osmose with the EaganMatrix engine inside it, will be by next major purchase... although it may take me a decade to save for one... hopefully they won’t become obsolete in the meantime 🤣
Great video! In an earlier video on the EaganMatrix, you were playing the LinnStrument. Do you have any thoughts/recommendations on which controller works best with the module? Can we infer from this video that the Sensel Morph came out on top? 🙂
Well, I use the Sensel all the time and the Linnstrument not so much, but that's a space issue. The Linnstrument 128 is too wide for my modular closet. The Sensel is super small and works very well, but it's easier to play on the Linnstrument. Also, the 'string' orientation of the Linnstrument lets you strum a patch like a guitar, which sounds amazing with the EaganMatrix. Finally, the Sensel is discontinued and goes for insane 2nd hand prices. Another option is the Roli Seaboard, but delivery has been postponed many times due to covid. When my studio is finished (2023) you'll see the Linnstrument a lot more!
This sounds absolutely amazing, nice piece. I love the sounds. But for myself, I don't like working with black box preset machines, and PC editors aren't for me either. I like knobs and buttons. But that's what's great about eurorack -- there's something for everyone. I am super excited to hear what you can do with XPO!
Thanks! I share your love for knobs and buttons too! It's just super convenient to have something polyphonic on board. As for the XPO, we're all waiting for it, no idea when it will be in stores. But I'd love to 'harvest' it with Arbhar.
Hi @Cinematic Laboratory. Thank you so much for the inspiring video. I have a sensel morph and would like to have the same layout. Would you mind to share your custom layout file? That would serve as a great starting point for me to customise my own. Thank you!
@@CinematicLaboratory Hi there. May I ask you if it would be possible to get this nice Morph layout as well? I happen to own a Morph too, and this layer looks absolutely gorgeous.
@@Savvier It sounds like you have firmware 2 installed. Then, the switches don't work anymore and you'll need to change settings on the USB thumb drive (or add one).
I don't think you can go wrong with this combo. In fact, Arbhar & EaganMatrix are my favorites of 2021 and 2022 respectively because they suit my personal favorite style very well.

Thanks very much for this clear and concise video demonstration. I ended up buying both of these modules.
Well, I am sure they will give you great patching pleasure. Both modules are in the top of my personal favorite list.

Thanks for the compliment!

It’s been a while since I last only listened to one of your YT videos.
Audio alone on this one is fantastic. Will play back w/eyes on video. 🍸
Thank you Alex!

@@CinematicLaboratory This is very helpful! GAS time.
I pre-ordered the Seaboard Rise 2 this week. Couldn't resist...

Deckard's Voice coming soon, BTW. All knobs and sliders and fully analog :).
@@CinematicLaboratory Awesome!
Powerful tools, eh? .. Really like that little stretch @ 9:00. This must be some kind of reversing. Sounds like Radiohead.

Sure! I am here to serve and protect. Send me an e-mail at cinematiclaboratory [at] outlook [dot] com and I'll send you the cromatic and minor layout.
@@CinematicLaboratory Thank you! I've sent an email to you :)

@@ZOgrameMusic Sure! Drop me a mail at cinematiclaboratory at outlook dot com - however, you'll need the innovator's layout for it to work.
Love these machines! But what is that mini MPE controller you are using to control the EaganMatrix?
It's the Sensel Morph. I explain it in the video :)
how to turn off output panning?
On the V1 there's a switch on the back where you can set manual panning. But you'll lose the reverb.
@@CinematicLaboratory oh my! thanks
i found them, but whatever positions im setting it's still reverb. strange

@@CinematicLaboratory oh my goodie, thank you. i spend so much figuring it out
Fabulous. I have both modules, and am inspired by your video. What's the controller you're using?
I'll update the video description. It's the sensel morph with innovator's overlay. Unfortunately it's discontinued and sold out.
Wow! Can you post a link to download your sensel eagen matrix overlay?
Amazing! I habe same setup mind! Endless fun!!
Send me an email, and I'll send you the config.
Thank you man!!!!
Where i can find your mail adress?
@@f.o.r.m7545 it's cinematiclaboratory [at] outlook [dot] com. Channels usually have an e-mail on the channel's main page.
Also I've made a Granular "Sampler" patch in the EM I'll be uploading to the fb group soon that you maybe interested in.
Sure I am interested. I have to figure out how to load an external patch anyway :).
I haven't had module lust for months. Now I lust for an Eaganmatrix to feed my Arbhar.
I don't think you can go wrong with this combo. In fact, Arbhar & EaganMatrix are my favorites of 2021 and 2022 respectively because they suit my personal favorite style very well.
Why you're doing this to me, man? I had never heard of EaganMatrix before. Now, I'm checking my bank account balance...
Getting an XPO early I take it. Lucky bastead ;-)
I hope so, but for now I am just dreaming out loud and that often makes things happen.
@@CinematicLaboratory You must be blessed. That never does a thing for me.
And that, is how you use Arbhar……
Wow, thanks! I am starting to get the hang of it after underusing it for two years...
