I'm just smiling from ear to ear. What a great introduction into Underoath, both visually and sonically. The album this song is off, Define the Great Line, is widely considered Underoath's magnus opus and their best work.
As other bands seem outdated and a product of their times. But Underoath seems to have had such a progressive style that to this day it still feels unique and new. Define the Great Line is one of the best albums ever crafted.
'It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door' is my favorite Underoath song. I discovered them from just buying that album because the cover art was cool & the song titles were interesting.
I think someone from underoath said that the video is supposed to depict a broken home. This band has made some great music. If you want a little more emo feel, they’re only chasing safety album you may like. I think one of the unique aspects of their following 2 or 3 albums though is that they didn’t keep to typical song structures. I’m pretty sure even this song doesn’t really have a defined chorus, but it’s still really catchy. This song is from their album define the great line, and is prob considered their most successful.
If you want more of a Red Jumpsuit vibe, check out any of their songs off of Theyre Only Chasing Safety. But personally i like their newer, heavier stuff better.
If liking the screams part, u would really like early alexisonfire, anything off the first 2 albums seems like what these guys were going for. Personally waterwings by alexisonfire was the song that brought me into screamo

This and "A Boy Brushed Red... Living In Black And White" are my guilty pleasure underoath screamo songs.
Love your reaction and your perspective of the video.

This album has zero skippable songs. Quite the mid-2000’s masterpiece.
Underoath is pretty dope. I never got really deep into them, but "Reinventing Your Exit" is my jam

absolutely, they really tap into a hardcore/emo sound that is just so satisfying for me. especially in DTGL and LITSOS

Me finding this 5 months after upload, but still no more Underoath reactions :(
HEY! :)
They aren't a Christian band anymore
